Female suspect fatally shoots unsuspecting woman at point-blank range on crowded NYC street
''The New York Police Department is searching for the woman who brazenly shot and killed another woman on a crowded city street in Brooklyn.

Surveillance video of the incident released by police shows a woman in black tights and a black long-sleeve shirt casually approach another woman chatting with a group of people. The suspect pulls a gun out from behind her back and shoots the unsuspecting woman, with her back turned, in the head at point-blank range.

Police said the suspect then shot the woman again several times after she fell to the ground from the first shot. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Delia Johnson, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and legs, police said.''

IMO, someone will recognize her or other video will identify her vehicle relatively soon. It's crazy how she pulls up, double parks and puts her emergency blinkers on, calmly walks up the victim, shoots her, and calmly walks back to her car. It looks like the victim was targeted rather than it being a random shooting. But, if so, how did the perp know where her target was at that particular point in time?

''The video shows the suspect, described as being in her mid 20s with a heavy build and long blond hair, first exiting a white vehicle.

She then walks up behind Johnson, shoots her in the back of the head, and returns to the car, which flees the scene.

Family members say Johnson was at a funeral earlier in the day and the suspect was also there.

"I asked everybody if they had words, they were both there, but there was no interaction," Mathis Johnson, the victim's brother, said.

Her family believe she was set up because she received a call later that day to head to Franklin Avenue. They said she didn't act like it was anything to worry about.''

I saw on a news report that LE knows the shooters name but hasn't found her yet. It's just a matter of time now.

I'm guessing the killer is someone filled with so much hate for Delia that it overcame her to the point where she didn't care if she was caught. Her goal about all else was to kill Delia even if it meant spending the rest of her life in jail. Or maybe she planned to kill herself after the murder so she was at peace with her decision.

Is this case possibly being confused with Nichelle Thomas' case (referenced above by @dotr) ?

I am wondering the same. This is local to me and I haven’t seen any updates regarding the suspect being arrested. Even the unverified chatter I’m reading on social media doesn’t mention anything about an arrest.

In the beginning of the video of the mother, the reporter makes mention of their 'relationship' and arguments. I got the impression they were a couple, but I could certainly be wrong.

I think you're right. It seems like a man may have provided the weapon for the murder, or at least that's what I'm inferring from this quote:

Why in the world has nobody been arrested or named if they know who it is. I don’t understand why this person is possibly still walking free.
