Anyone else In the house with them?

Oh no. Those woods could not be thicker. There's no point in helicopter searching.

Praying for a miracle.

IMO, I read that they tried to do a heat/sonar search from above but the trees are to tall/thick. Not sure if this is accurate.

We have activated CORSAR to assist in the search for Joshua McCoy, a multi-agency agreement of trained and resourced searchers.
The community outreach offering assistance is greatly appreciated, but at this time SAR is not seeking additional manpower due to the nature of the proven process of searches and evidence preservation.
We will keep everyone updated as we’re able.

I don't see any water, but then again the trees are really dense. I hate it has been almost 48 hours already....ugh.

Could be sick, could've been a rough night or a long weekend, all sorts of possibilities.

While it wasn't common to hit 4+ hours with my kids (or now with my granddaughter), it does occasionally happen. A typical nap for us is still 2.5-3 hours in the afternoon... and granddaughter is almost six. Over the last 5 years, I'd guess 4+ hours has happened a few dozen times?

Fortunately, though, granddaughter is not a Houdini/runner.

You’re right! They need dogs— those woods are formidable.

Heartbreaking when they don’t want help in the searches. I know they have their solid professional and procedural reasons but just pains me for a little boy to be out there :(

This one doesn't sound good. :(

IMO, LE needs to open the search to the public and get more feet on the ground.
Editing to add: unless they know something we don't. IMO

I totally agree. The dogs have had a very long time to attempt to find a scent trail. At this point, it's time to open it up to the public, which does in fact have a pretty good record for finding lost little ones who are outside the area LE believes forms the boundaries of where they could possibly be.

CCSO said Joshua took a nap with his mother around 1:00 p.m. and when she woke up at 5:30, he was missing.

Sheriff Gabe Fabrizio said officials began searching for McCoy immediately.

“I don’t think it was reported until later that evening after dark. We started [Saturday] around 11:30 until the sun came up. They were out there searching and they did a pretty comprehensive gray pattern search [Sunday],” he said.

I wonder why the delay reporting?
