Circumstances of Recovery
District One Medical Examiner's Office Case Narrative: "Unidentified suspected human remains found in wooded area. On 10.12.2024 at an unspecified time an individual was out in the woods with a metal detector when he found a suspected mandible and contacted 911 at approximately 1141 hours... The following suspected human remains were collected on scene: mandible with 3 molars, a shirt, right radius, scapula fragment (x2), rib fragment (x4), right tibia, right fibula, humerus fragment, right scapula, vertebrae fragments (x3), right fragment, R and L innominate, and let humerus."

Wow that sounds like truly aged remains. I wonder if it was a low lying area that floods.

Could it have been from a historical cemetery that flooded? I don’t know about Florida, but that happens in Louisiana sometimes

Unfortunately, it doesn't say the exact location, and I don't know if the coordinates listed in NamUs are accurate. I also wasn't able to find any news articles about this case.

What am i missing. How do you know the remains are aged....
