This is a fascinating case, if you read the complaints against him. He had originally been an legit doctor, but decided to get into cosmetic surgery for more money. He took a weekend seminar and declared himself an expert. He would work out next door and come straight to surgery without changing or showering first. He was using lidocaine injections to numb people for surgery and was not properly anesthetizing them! And some of these patients/victims were coming back for more.

Once the complaints started rolling in, he killed himself and left his wife and 4 children to fend for themselves. I guess she didn't even get any life insurance from his death; she was allowed to keep their house, 2 vehicles and 5k worth of clothing only.

After it was determined that there was no money left to pay the victims, it faded out of the news. I wonder what happened to all of the victims.

I agree, and I've noticed how swept under the rug this case got, and wanted to put it out there again. I remember his billboards and tv ads. His office was within walking distance to my house at the time, where he killed himself. His kids seem to be doing ok now at least, but I'm sure they're traumatized for life. He didn't even make sure his family would be taken care of after his death! And all those former patients, now left in pain or disfigurement with no legal recourse. Greed is a horrible thing that can turn a good doctor into a crazy man doing illegal things.

Reading all of it made me feel physically ill. I can't believe some patients trusted him a second time!
