MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is being charged for allegedly murdering his girlfriend and now, her teenage grandson is also missing.

When investigators contacted Turman’s family, they learned she lived with her boyfriend, Herman Hollis-Brown, and had custody of her 15-year-old grandson, Syquavius Hoyett.

Additionally, the woman’s grandson, Hoyett, hasn’t been seen or heard from since the day before Turman’s body was found. A City Watch was issued for the teen.

A woman, who didn’t want to be identified, says she spoke to Hollis-Brown nearly every day and claims he frequently complained about the 15 -year -old.

“I don’t know why, but he could not stand him,” she said. “He talked to me every day about that grandbaby not emptying the garbage, not making his bed, not cleaning his room. He talked to me all the time– every day about that.”

If you have seen him or know where he is, please give call police of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Hollins-Brown appears to be sporting quite the swollen nose (broken?) I hope for the best here but expect the worst. If he has also harmed the grandson I hope that Syquavius got some good licks in on this perp on his way out. :(

According to a press release from the Memphis Police Department, officers at about 5:22 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17 responded to a “man down” call at an area located at Silas Road and Eyers Road. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found an adult female victim — later identified as Turman — suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation into Turman’s death led authorities to a home located in the 4000 block of Glenbrook Avenue, which is about half a block away from where Turman’s body was found. There, police located Hollins-Brown and took him into custody. At the time of his arrest, police said Brown was in possession of Turman’s 2013 white Chrysler 200.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The man behind bars charged with the murder of a Memphis grandmother is now charged in the death of her 15-year-old grandson, who was first reported missing and later found dead Sunday, and new details outlined in court documents are shining a disturbing light on the case.

According to court records, Herman Hollins-Brown, already charged with murder in the death of Anneria Turman, is now charged with first degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Syquavious Hoyett, her grandson.

In an affidavit, a witness came forward and told police Hollins-Brown forced him at gunpoint to help him bury the bodies, saying Hollins-Brown told him to, "do what I tell you to, or you will be the third body."

The witness said they then drove to a wooded area, and he discovered a body in the trunk of Hollins-Brown's car, identified as Turman. They dumped her body in the woods, and then returned to the house on the 4000 block of Glenbrook, moving Hoyett's body and disposing of it as well.

The witness said Hoyett also appeared to have been shot.

Hollins-Brown is now charged with two counts of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.
