''The court order followed his 2003 imprisonment on 15 counts of harassment, for pursuing young people with requests such as asking to feel their muscles.
When he stood trial in 2009 for breaching the order, his reputation had spread across the North West, where he was considered by many to be an urban myth.''

'Akinwale Arobieke was once the subject of a BBC Three programme The Man Who Squeezes Muscles: Searching for Purple Aki, first broadcast in September 2016.
Mr Arobieke, who was filmed as part of the documentary, later lodged a complaint with Merseyside police that the documentary was racist and presented him unfairly.''

'Liverpool bodybuilder Akinwale Arobieke has died aged 64. Mr Arobieke, who was a well-known figure in Merseyside, died at his home on Devonshire Road in Toxteth in what are believed to be non-suspicious circumstances.'

'In 2003, Mr Arobieke he was jailed for six years after being convicted of harassing 15 men. He was branded a “modern-day bogeyman”, but claimed in an interview that he was the victim of a “modern-day witch hunt” by police after he made official complaints against certain officers.'

'In 2015 he was found to have touched a young man’s muscles while travelling on a train from Manchester to North Wales. He was convicted of breaking a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) which had banned him from touching, feeling or measuring people’s muscles.'
