This is my first time posting a thread so please bear with me.
I came across this missing persons case today but have not seen an awful lot of publicity regarding this gentleman's disappearance. The other difficulty is since the case is in the Highlands area of Scotland, much of it will have Gaelic place names. I am not a Gaelic speaker but will do my best to use the proper spellings etc.
It seems Mr Ross was a keen hillwalker and the area he went missing from is popular with walkers.
What I do find a bit unusual is from the articles here, there seems to be no mention of anyone passing him or chatting with him, which is a common occurence between walkers on the hills.
I will post two articles and this will give you the information on the case.
The word 'Beinn' means mountain and is pronounced 'bain'. As far as I know Alligin is pronounced as seen.

AI and drones deployed amid search for Scots hillwalker missing since September
I believe a recent appeal was made by Police Scotland for any news on Ian and there was another recent appeal from the Daily Record newspaper. Unfortunately, the recent newspaper article has a broken link so I could not post it here.
The family are desperate for news.
