And that line of thinking has allowed him to continue to outsmart LE, society and continue dumping bodies. He has clearly proved himself over almost a decade roaming the streets to not fit into thee tidy little box or else he would have been caught base on the tidy little theory or you would at bare minimum has a solid lead. All these years, the theory isn't fitting and their is still LISK roaming the streets. He has outsmarted everyone and proved the theories wrong or he would have been caught. Even excuses.

But that's what SKs do. They are hard to catch, especially organized killers. The LISK may never be caught--not because he changed and evolved to allude LE, but because he was cunning, calculated, and ultra careful.

ETA: He has not proven the theories wrong because we don't know who he is! That remains to be seen.

His wife was younger than him, does anyone have know where his wife grew up? She would've been closer in age to Kim Raffo wonder if she grew up near woodcut drive

Exactly, the theory makes one feel good to have but in reality it does not lead you any closer to catching the perp so it just a "feel good" theory that doesn't fit or he would have been off the streets. LE needs to explore other avenues.

Or he hasn't been caught because he was just discovered four years ago. And once he was discovered enough time had passed that there was no real good leads. Bet he has a new dumping ground.

She lived in Shirley from 1988-2001; right by the High School it looks like. So yes, again, blocks away from KR.

“The male family member who provided this DNA sample was not the killer,” Spota said, citing a crime lab report. “But a blood relative of his was indeed the killer.”

“The killer had to be a brother of the very same parents of the person who provided the sample,” Spota added.

Is it unusual for a defendant to be referred to as "the killer" by LE at this point in the game? Could statements like these prejudice a jury?

Of Course it prejudices the jury. The District Attorney and Law enforcement hold all the cards in the game. It starts with the papers and tv getting a shot of the defendant doing the prep walk, press releases are then released by the Police Agency and another by the District attorney's office. Press conferences are then held where sound bytes will be captured and replayed relentlessly. The impact of all things considered does nothing to advance the wheels of justice. Not much information is gained except the enchancement of serving publicity-hungry prosecutors eager to enhance their political careers" and "giv[ing] police officers achance to get on television." Some criminal defense lawyers perceive perpwalks as "an unethical attempt by police to skirt the Fifth Amendment's protection.

At the very least, Spota referring to the defanfant as a killer skates pretty close to the line with prosecutorial ethics, namely Model Rules 3.6 and 3.8 of the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct ("Model Rules"). Model Rule 3.8(f) requires prosecutors to "refrain from making extrajudicial comments that have a substantial likelihood of heightening public condemnation of the accused" unless the comments are "necessary to inform the public of the nature and extent of the prosecutor's action and .. .serve a legitimate law enforcement purpose.

it was a good breakdown--but to play peter brendt, anyone that believes the recent JB is tied to manorville and gb4 is saying he strangled 3, posed, unclustered and high-speeds kills;then chopped 6 over time and spread&clustered;then strangled 4 over time and clustered(unclear if posed, but not likely)---possible, but very hard to follow that line...
Well, let's talk AC4: That was spree, clustered and posed and possibly the killer took the shoes.

very possible pre'93 kills, or earlier that year even---at the very least, i'd bet his "first" vic in this string was an escalation from prior prostitute visits where he assaulted/choked/tried to kill one or more---be interesting to see if any other women come forward and say that dude tried to choke me to death or started to beat me and i got away....same type of scenario might play out whenever LISK is caught....

He has an assault arrest in 1990...any way of finding details of that arrest in NY State?

In the sense he's using it in what's quoted, I think he's referring to "the killer" in generic terms as far as scientific possibility so to me that's a little different.

Oh, and AC like GB was clustered 3-1 like this 123 4 or 4 123... can't remember but I know they weren't in order of date missing to death.

Was he convicted and did he serve any time? Was it a misdemeanor like simple assault or a felony?

I remember reading or spota saying he was convicted in 94 and served 60 days in jail

curious as to what the trigger was in '93....
That was 21 years ago.. The video above with the neighbors reactions includes info that one of the kids was about to go off to college. That means that approximately 19 years or more ago, PAAB got pregnant. Chances are They were in a relationship by 1993.

"Assistant District Attorney Robert Biancavilla said there's more than DNA that ties Bittrolff to the crimes.
"Given this guy's comments when he was interviewed by the police, I think there's substantial evidence," Biancavilla said Wednesday.
He declined to say what Bittrolff said. Tilis said he's unaware that his client said anything to police. Detectives were told soon after Bittrolff's arrest that he had an attorney and could not be questioned, Tilis said."
