MS - Jessica Chambers, 19, found burned near her car, Panola County, 6 Dec 2014 - #2

how anybody could have known before the autopsy that anything had been poured into her mouth is beyond me, unless she said it herself in the moments she is said to be speaking or maybe, just maybe if you had a paramedic on scene that had very extensive knowledge of burn injuries.

and even if we assume that it turns out to be true - what sheriff or rescue person is going to be saying taht to the father of the victim at the scene? detailing specific horrific things that were done to his daughter? i dont know, that whole issue just makes no sense to me, and yeah, if it was just AA claiming it i would have all sorts of alarms going off. but her fathers comments muddy that whole thing for me.

My thoughts EXACTLY. We're talking about the sheriff, not a junior officer, but a man who's usually elected based on his competency. In this instance AA is either lying, or telling us truthfully that the sheriff himself has no respect for his position or the confidentiality of his citizenry. The whole they thing too, that particular choice of words just sounds sinister.

Ben Chambers, Jessica’s father, said he was told someone poured gas or another accelerant down her throat and up her nose.

Thursday, investigators said they cannot confirm an accelerant was used.

http://wreg.com/2014/12/11/latest-on-jessica-chambers-murder/

One widely reported scenario -- that an accelerant was poured down Chambers' throat and up her nose -- has yet to be proven forensically. Chambers' family told The Clarion-Ledger earlier this week that she had been doused with something like lighter fluid. Final autopsy results, which are expected Friday, will likely clear that up, Darby said.

"They squirted lighter fluid down her throat and in her nose, and apparently they knocked her out," her father, Ben Chambers, told Fox affiliate WDBD-TV. "She had a big gash on top of her head."

t had been reported that an accelerant had been poured directly into Chambers’ mouth and nose, but officials say those details are still unclear; it may have been poured on her car.

Chambers’ family told the Clarion Ledger newspaper in Jackson, Miss., that police believe someone was in her car with her, and that person may have poured accelerant down her throat and nose and set her on fire.

so on WMC5 news they just talked to the woman who is off screen in the gas station parking lot that jessica talks to, she said she called her over to ask for a cigarette, and they talked to the guy in the striped shirt who was filling up the gas container who has been said to be cleared.

one interesting point - these two people were there together, they mention that he got into her car and they left.

they also talked to the guy who said he heard a loud vehicle go down the street about that time.

that was pretty much the extent of the newscast.

Here's an article supporting the bolded text above...

http://www.wmcactionnews5.com/story...llow-new-lead-in-jessica-chambers-murder-case

"I called the sheriff's department and I told them everything that I knew," said tipster Ray McClenic. "I said, 'What y'all are looking for, I don't know what kind of vehicle.' I said, 'But it's got really really loud pipes on it.'"

McClenic said he heard a vehicle driving down his street really fast the night Jessica Chambers was discovered burning next to her car on a rural road in Courtland, Mississippi more than a week ago.

I have a random couple thoughts:

1) After the battery was removed from the phone then someone put the phone in their pocket. If it was a "hoodie" the pockets aren't very deep and if someone was scrambling down an embankment to a waiting car it could easily fall out into the ditch.

2) Wouldn't kidnapping fall into the mix of charges?

3) What happened to Jessica was premeditated and when an opportunity was presented it was acted on.

4) Jessica had only $4.00 on her for gas and someone offered to give her $10.00 for gas to take them "somewhere".

5) I have a feeling that after the ATF, FBI, MBI and the U.S. Marshalls, there'll be another set of alphabets interested. Hope everyone is current on their taxes and has a good accountant on retainer. We were audited a couple years ago for the reason we had done business with someone they wanted to nail on fuel tax fraud.

6) This is just the tip of the iceberg and LE is chipping away at the foundation and whoever is in the penthouse is probably not very happy about the attention.

Twitter material is unapproved because much of it (by the tweeters such as you reference) is primarily undocumented, highly opinionated nonsense: Garbage in garbage out.
I understand ZOOL, and I wouldn't post any of the tweets, I do however follow both FB and Twitter threads, pertaining to the cases I am following. If for nothing else to follow up and or do my own research on what is being said.

I also understand that we live in a time with an entire generation of narcissistic individuals, and at a minimum you do get a feel for the character of a person. These feeds are not allowed here for very obvious reasons, however there are very dedicated and intelligent folks here in the WS community and there may be a comment or photo posted that could lend itself to the investigation, don't you think?

My apologies if I am in anyway out of line, definitely not my intention. I have the utmost respect to all of the contributors here in WS.

"I think she was targeted," he says. "Doctors said they sprayed some kind of accelerant down her throat. You don't do that unless you are a cruel person and you hate them. I don't know how someone can hate someone that bad."

This case is horrific and baffling. If she was able to speak, LE should have it solved. If she was not coherent, LE has played a foolish game.

RIP Jessica Chambers

I think the actual back rests were reclined as far as possible (this is how they appeared in the pictures of the burned car). So when people are saying young people (or males) think it is cool to drive with the seats back, I interpreted that to mean with the back rests reclined. But I could be mistaken - JMO.
I just wanted to add that the seat being back could be what is being suggested or it could not. I actually got in my car around noon today and the seat was all the way back. My 9 month pregnant cousin drove my car last. It made me think, perhaps the person was big and needed room? Maybe not pregnant per say, but tall or heavy. This was my thought and then I just saw Matthew's post. Now seeing that my thoughts aren't alone.

Here it says the call with her mom was at 7:20. I know someone was asking about the discrepencies. I am very confused.

I asked about the time of her conversation with her mother because that conversation seems to be one of two conversations* Jessica had shortly before the 911 call, and after she was last seen at M&M (approximate time 6:32pm). CBSnews reports mom's call at 6:48 (attributing the comment to Lisa Chambers) [http://www.cbsnews.com/news/jessica-chamber-search-on-for-suspect-who-fatally-lit-mississippi-teen-aflame/], and People.com reports 7:20pm (attributing the comment to Ben Chambers [http://www.people.com/article/mississippi-teen-burned-to-death-jessica-chambers-told-police-who-did-it]. That's a huge difference.

*the second conversation appears to have been with Charlotte Wilkerson (aka "Aunty" Sha-Sha, or Sha-Sha)

Been catching up this morning and it seems that where there is smoke, there is fire.. Tragically in this case, the smoke spotted has lead to a vehicle fire, deliberately set, where an innocent victim's young life has being taken, way to soon... Thought initially to be a routine vehicle fire, has rapidly escalated into a conflagration for the Chambers family and the Panola County, MS community..
I am optimistic that the additional investigative resources of the FBI, US Marshalls, MBI, ATF, and other federal and state LEAs will uncover the hidden embers of corruption, gang & drug activity, while extinguishing the flames of evil which has caused a very dark cloud of smoke permeating over this area for some time.
Sadly, there must be darkness present for the light of truth to shine through..

Since you asked...

My opinion is: Both mainstream media and social media reporters/commenters need to keep in mind that they are NOT generally accepted as "qualified, professional investigators", and that they ought to seek more corroboration to a "fact", other than one or two references. The situation with the Rollingstone article is a good example of how virile something -- unsupported sufficiently -- can become. And that was the mistake of both the writer and the editors. The Washington Post made Rollingstone rollover.

RE: Garbage in garbage out.

LOL, I can't count the number of times that I have disposed of a bag of garbage, to find out later that I threw out the wrong garbage bag.. One year, I had to replace all of our family's irreplaceble Christmas decorations..

Guess, only time will separate the wheat from the chaff, huh?

I have not found People.com to be a very trusted source IMOO.

The People.com article also states, "[Chambers ex-wife spoke to Jessica] about two hours before she died."

How is that possible if she was in a medically induced coma?

I understand that People.com meant to say "2 hours before they found her and her car."

They need to get their facts straight.

So, I wouldn't put any weight on the times that People.com is reporting. Move on. :back:

I tell you SS I don't know what to think about this anymore. I see that the gas station owner has gotten death threats and honestly if this was some weird azz accident so many peoples lives have been effected it's not funny. The extra gas purchase sticks out to me and her going back in for the cigarettes after she pumps gas was unusual as well. Then I think but what if there was a problem with the gas tank on that vehicle. One other thing I thought about was the fleece camo pj pants she had on, those things had to light up like a torch. I have wondered if she was trying to turn around in that area where there is a driveway. I wonder if she somehow accelerated the vehicle up the embankment and that would have caused her to go forward and hit her head to get the gash. If she had a lit cigarette and she passed out and those pants were lit and she woke to the vehicle in flame. idk

You know, this is some excellent thinking here. I haven't taken a look at the map yet, how far away was the gas station from the accident? I noticed from the photos that the back end of the car was hot enough to melt the tires off the rims.

Any guess from looking at the car, just where did the fire start in the car?

From what I have read so far, I have come up with a possible scenario. I would like your opinions. This may or may not have been a planned murder with more than one involved. She was hit on the head knocking her unconscious . She was placed in the passenger seat to transport her and her car together. A limp body would not sit up in a seat, so the seat was reclined. Also the seat reclined would keep her from being seen. A getaway vehicle led the way and pulled onto the small portion of road in front of the gate. The other person following behind pulled onto the road and up the hill as not to block the getaway vehicle. Keep in mind everything is going fast, adrenaline is pumping, they are moving faster than they can think. Her phone is disabled and thrown, she is moved to the drivers seat, seat reclined like the other side because she wouldn't sit up being limp. Not necessary but probable being they weren't thinking properly. She and the car was doused with accelerant, she was reclined and it would get in her mouth and nostrils. The car was lit on fire and they took off in the get away vehicle, which may have had loud pipes. It was probably not the intent to burn her alive, but just a not so well thought out plan. Remember adrenaline is pumping they are in a hurry, she wasn't moving, they just burned the evidence. Not thinking to finish her off first. It could have been a heat of the moment blow to the head, which seems probable being it doesn't appear to be well thought out.

That seems to fit the evidence that we have so far. What do you think?

Jessica Chambers’ mother has “full faith” in investigators
POSTED 11:50 AM, DECEMBER 16, 2014, BY GEORGE BROWN, UPDATED AT 02:42PM, DECEMBER 16, 2014

With regards to Caitlin Alexander's video report (top video), at 0:38, she has the photographer turn off the lights on his camera to "to give you a feel of what it looked like the night it happened".

Video shows pitch-black scene.

It was actually a full-moon on December 6th so, it may have been a bit lighter outside. Not completely pitch-black.
