Police are searching for a missing 18-year-old Gaithersburg woman, who they say is the cousin of Damaris Reyes Rivas, the 15-year-old murdered in Fairfax Co.

Article about the murdered cousin that was linked in the article above:

Cousin's death was gang related and there were 10 associated (per that article).

Police say four adults and six teenagers were arrested in connection with Damaris' murder.

I wonder why they believe should could be in the New Jersey area. Hopefully she's okay.

Police say she left before her shift was scheduled to be over.

Barahona-Rivas is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. When she left work, she was wearing a tan shirt, a tan skirt, a gray jacket and black boots. Police say she was also carrying a pink purse.

Barahona-Rivas's cousin, 15-year-old Alexandra Reyes, was found dead in Springfield, Virginia, earlier this month. Ten people have been arrested in connection with her death.

So.... Correct me if I'm wrong but she dances in the Wok Express?? I have never been to a chinese restaurant that has dancers before... is this common in MD?
This does not sound good at all..

Also... I wish we knew why investigators believe she may be in New Jersey.. Did they see her get into a vehicle? Has she had any contact with anyone that would lead them to think this?

So... while digging there was this posted approx. 5 hours ago saying she was found in New Jersey with her uncle.. but i cannot find another article to back this up..

http://maryland.missing.report/angelica-barahona-rivas-gaithersburg/

has anyone else found anything to confirm or deny this? I'm hoping she is safe and sound with a relative but I'm worried that I can't find any other articles to verify.

I'm glad this girl is safe, but if she really left because she was scared of certain people, I wish they wouldn't have published what state she's in. If she's staying at a relative's house, it probably wouldn't be too difficult for those people to find her.
