The headline is misleading really - and I've snipped a lot of the article :

His brother Darroch, 22, of Dunfermline, Fife, says Corrie would not have voluntarily climbed into a large rubbish bin, so he suspects foul play.

He said: “I have never known him sleep in a bin, ever. Myself and our eldest brother Makayen have gone out with him at weekends more than anyone else and we know what happens.

“After a drink Corrie sometimes does want a sleep. I have seen him sleep in the middle of dance floors but never in a bin

“But how did he get inside it? No CCTV cameras show that particular area and nobody has come forward saying they saw Corrie get into the bin. It is a mystery. No one can be sure what happened there.

IMO the only pice of solid evidence they have is
the phone movements , the phone went to the Barton mills area and remained in that area until connect was lost at around 8am , we went along with that at first as we were told that the bin lorry went direct to Sainsbury's in mildenhall , now we know that the bin lorry made other collections in BSE before going to mildenhall , soham, Ely then newmarket, around a 45 miles round trip , and all the time the phone never left Barton mills phone mast, the phone is the key IMO , they need to get some telecommunications experts in to track the phone better ,

I agree, I've seen no *evidence* of Corrie being in the landfill. There's *information* that *suggests* he might have been in the bin and then the bin lorry, but doubts about which bin was emptied and lack of forensic evidence seems to cast doubt on him being in the bin, let alone ending up in the landfill. Even the phone pings are evidence only of where the phone was - Corrie could have been separated from it. I have seen very little genuine evidence, mostly SP making a lot of assumptions.

What was the last official line on whether Corrie knew April was pregnant?

There is no official line just NU and MM having different versions of events. Police have not commented so nothing official really.

Ah right, that helps me understand what I've just read (not on MSM) so thank you ☺

Some of it has trickled into the papers but it's just his version versus hers so no way to verify anything. MM claims it is on police record that CM knew.

I guess it's one of those things we will never know. It just adds to the long list of inconsistencies.

Ok, so the brothers haven't seen him sleep in a bin when they are out with him, but C was out himself so they don't know what C did or did not do when alone.

Possibly in denial and looking for blame, which of course is entirely understandable.

I noticed that in the press conference they said that Corrie had been known to sleep in rubbish.
I do not recall her saying in a rubbish bin. Sitting down for a nap on a pile of rubbish bags is different to climbing into a rubbish bin.
Or am I splitting hairs too much and reading too much into what she did / didn't say?

Splitting hairs. Rubbish is rubbish. His friends from the military could have told the police they had found him sleeping in the rubbish. They are the ones living with him

It would be interesting to know what they think did happen to him if they do not think he got in the bin. E.g. could he have made his way back to his car unseen somehow to sleep but got a lift? Could he have climbed over the F12 gate or up those stairs to sleep? Why did his phone go to Mildenhall if he was not with it? Still all the same unknowns since the beginning.

Well SS what I gathered from the link I posted was the the brother thinks C in the bin was due to third party involvement.
It was reported in that link that noone saw C get in the bin?? - but on the other hand no one saw anyone put C into the bin either - everyone caught on CCTV has been spoken to and nobody noticed anyt

Strange as if there was some dispute/attack that resulted in an unconscious C being put into a bin none of the many people about noticed or heard anything unusual? Seemed to be reasonably busy around that time of the morning so surely a fracas would have been noticed?

eta - The comment from C's brother that C sometimes slept in the middle of dance floors astonishes me. How normal is this ??

SP said they had a witness who'd found C sleeping in rubbish, and people who C had told he'd slept in rubbish. Agree with you, <modsnip>

"Material found at an incinerator plant needs "further examination" to establish whether it is linked to missing RAF airman Corrie Mckeague, police said."

BBC article and EADT article.

SP also said C had slept on park benches, and in stairways and toilets. The latter I've heard of (in nightclubs and football grounds), but to a lot of people, to get yourself in such a state is pretty desperate. However, as I've said before, his family didn't seem to think dossing down and getting into strangers' cars was a problem; <modsnip> And as Taskforce said, he's away from home; why would his family think they know what he's been up to? I've come across various situations where airmen haven't been forthcoming with spouses and parents about what they've been up to.

The comment in that report that caught my eye (apart from the "not being stupid"??) was Darroch thinking he'd got in a metal bin? Where's that come from?

Interesting that. Maybe something or nothing, but from your article =

“At this stage it cannot be confirmed whether or not this material is in any way linked to Corrie and so it will be subject to specialist examination and forensic analysis in the coming weeks.

“Police expected that it would be necessary to take items recovered from the search away from the site in order to examine them more carefully.

“Corrie’s family have been kept updated about the search. The search of the incinerated waste is now complete.”
