Parsons Green tube explosion: May says threat level remains at severe and rebukes Trump live updates
Pupils from Lady Margaret girls school, which is about 100m from Parsons Green underground station and has been locked down inside the police cordon, have been let out after a highly distressing day.
Emanuella Mensah, 16, described the panic which started the day for many of the girls who travel to school on the train that was attacked:
She said the younger children were particularly shocked and scared and that the distress carried on throughout the day.
I was right outside the corner shop when people started running [from the station]. People were shouting run, run. I saw old people, people with their kids. Then someone shouted terrorist!. More people kept coming out of the station. There were people sitting on the pavement crying and in hysterics. Schoolgirls were coming from all kinds of directions. The teachers came down and we started escorting people into school.
Years seven, eight and nine, they were all on the phone trying to call their parents. People were crying everywhere. The teachers were putting them into rooms, giving them water and biscuits, trying to keep them calm. They tried to keep everyone going to their lessons but people couldnt concentrate.
For some reason it feels as if him still being out there might be different than others in terms of impuslivity.
Or age
It seems sloppy not thought out , no death wish . The apparent disregard for a well known fact that they are the most CCTV place on earth
it just seems impulsive which makes him her dangerous , l
They were saying they think it was readily avail chemicals like Hy Pero so it seems like he might have some left overs and might try again moo
the second bomb stuff seems to be an erroneous report no f/u

Fairy lights have been used as detonators by extremist bombers before
Pictures of the apparent home-made bomb seen after the explosion show a Lidl coolbag with a large paint tub inside and a string of Christmas tree lights hanging over the top.
If the device does turn out to be a terrorist bomb, it would not be the first time extremists have used so-called 'fairy lights' to build a device.
In May this year, a radicalised former doorman Zahid Hussain was found to have built an explosive device in his bedroom with fairy lights, shrapnel and a pressure cooker.
He is said to have researched bomb-making techniques online, with police finding a wealth of notes and instructions at his home in Birmingham when he was arrested in 2015.
Chief Superintendent Matt Ward, of West Midlands Police, said of Hussain's bomb at the time: 'Forensic examination of the pressure cooker found it contained mixed urea, nails, drills bits, nuts, bolts, steel sockets and diesel fuel.
'The Christmas tree lights also found at his address had been adapted so each one could be used as an explosive initiator or detonator.
'Examination of his computer discovered browsing history relating to terrorism including bomb making and bomb blast injuries, showing he had a consistent and continued interest in.

Zahid Hussain guilty of fairy lights bomb plot
A man who planned to target a railway line with a homemade bomb of fairy lights and a pressure cooker has been found guilty of preparing for an act of terrorism.
Zahid Hussain, 29, filled the appliance with shrapnel and made "improvised igniters" from the festive decorations.
He was arrested on 9 August 2015 after reports of a man carrying a hammer and behaving suspiciously near his home in Alum Rock, Birmingham.
After being taken to a police station, officers found handwritten recipes for explosives, a modified fairy light and a hand-drawn map showing a drainage chamber.
They also discovered books that contained instructions on sabotage and guerrilla warfare tactics. A page on how to derail a train had been marked.
His computer showed he had an interest in so-called Islamic State and events in Syria.
UK threat level raised to critical, meaning an attack is expected imminently.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday it was not helpful for anyone to speculate on investigations after U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted that the culprits behind a train bombing had been “in the sights” of the police.
The official said that at this point, U.S. agencies had no information to back up any suggestion by Trump that Britain had advance warning or specific intelligence on the attack.
Hours after Trump’s tweet, Sky News cited security sources as saying they had identified a suspect in the attack, with the help of surveillance footage.
Whether they had advanced warnings or specific intelligence does not mean the suspect wasn't known or on a watch list.
The prime minister said the threat was now critical, meaning an attack is expected imminently, after a device was detonated at Parsons Green station.
Police said some 1,000 armed officers would be seen across the country after military assistance was requested.
So-called Islamic State has said it was behind the attack, which injured 29.
Mrs May said the military would be providing support to police and would replace them on guard duties at certain sites that are not accessible to the public.
These will include Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, embassies and the Palace of Westminster and will enable armed officers to carry out patrols, the Met said.
Mr Rowley asked the public to remain "vigilant", but said people should "not be alarmed".
He said anyone who took pictures or videos at the scene could upload them to ukpoliceimageappeal.co.uk.
rbbmBBC security correspondent Frank Gardner said the bomb appeared not to have gone off properly.
Had it worked as intended, it would have killed everyone around it and maimed everyone in the train carriage for life, he said.
ISIS is claiming this attack was carried out by a cell of jihadis and MI5 had no alternative but to raise the terror threat level.
This is a security nightmare because the bags of passengers cannot be thoroughly checked before they board buses, trains and as we saw today the tube across the U.K and in Europe.
