UK- London Nine injured in suspected acid attack, children among injured 01/31/24

It says he was convicted of "sexual assault/exposure" in 2018, before being granted asylum in 2021 or 2022.

Why was he granted asylum after that?? Absolutely crazy.
Literally just posted the same thought Sarahlou!
Who ratified his paperwork?

How many more are walking amongst us. The system needs to be more robust against criminals and especially sex offenders.

A major audit needs carrying out. Imo.

Just been doing a quick read up on alkali burns.

What to do about alkali burns?
Immediately rinse with a large amount of cool water. Rinsing within 1 minute of the burn can reduce the risk of complications. Flush the area for at least 20 minutes. Do not use a hard spray of water because it can damage the burned area.
Alkali Burns.

Are acid or alkali burns worse?
Chemicals can often be classified as acid, alkali, organic, and inorganic compounds. Acids act by denaturing and coagulating proteins. Alkaline burns cause deeper burns than acid burns. Alkaline compounds saponification on the surface epithelium of the skin and laxity causes necrosis.
Rare chemical burns: Review of the Literature.

How long after a burn can you get sepsis?
Burn patients are admitted directly to the burn intensive care unit with hypovolemic shock from the initial injury. Sepsis rarely occurs within the first week but instead, occurs weeks to even months after the injury. As long as the wound remains open, the burn patient is at risk for developing sepsis.

Trouble is we get lessons are learned etc, then all's right until something pops up again. The guy is from Afghanistan ,different culture, women are teated as objects, somehow it's thought by giving asylum it'll alter.

A caveat ought be added it's the Mail but it gives an oversite of how finding Jesus can help?

Police have urged the public to stay away from 'dangerous' Ezedi who is accused of leaving his three victims, who are believed to be known to him, with 'life changing injuries' on Wednesday night in Clapham, south London.

The Metropolitan Police are facing questions about why vital images of the suspect in the Clapham South acid attack took so long to be published potentially helping Abdul Shokoor Ezedi evade capture.

Ezedi was convicted of "sexual assault/exposure" in 2018, before being granted asylum in 2021 or 2022.

Unbelievable.

Wow, a nine-week jail term suspended for two years for the sexual assault and a 36 week jail term for indecent exposure, also suspended for two years.

So flash someone and get 36 weeks in jail, sexually assault someone ehhh 9 weeks ought to suffice. Wow:oops:

Well yes. I would utterly agree, why wasn't his picture released pretty well immediately. This may well have given him extra time to run away.

No 10 questions UK status of ‘foreign criminals’ amid chemical assault row

Some Tory MPs question how attack suspect Abdul Ezedi was granted asylum after sexual assault conviction

Rishi Sunak does not think “foreign criminals should be able to stay” in the UK, his official spokesperson has said, amid a row over the immigration status of a sex offender hunted over a chemical assault on the streets of London.

[…]

A number of Conservative MPs have questioned how Ezedi was granted refugee status despite two previous failed attempts and his criminal convictions. He is understood to have been allowed to stay in the country after a priest confirmed he had converted to Christianity.

On Friday, the prime minister’s spokesperson declined to comment on the suspect’s immigration status during a live police investigation but said that more broadly, “the PM doesn’t think that foreign criminals should be able to stay in the country, putting the public at risk”.

Staff at a Kurdish grocery shop in the Byker area of Newcastle where the man lived told The Times that he would come in every two weeks to buy half of a halal sheep that he would then cut up and put in his freezer.

They claimed he told people he wanted to return to Afghanistan to find a wife, and described him as 'a good Muslim' who did not drink alcohol.

A second attempt was also refused - but Ezedi appealed, saying he had converted to Christianity, and therefore would have been at risk if he had returned to Afghanistan, where he is believed to be from.

A church witness told the appeals tribunal that he believed Ezedi had converted to Christianity.

His appeal was successful in 2020, and he was granted asylum.

Playing the system oh so nicely…
