I have to agree. I think that Tammi thought she had control, but if she ever really did, she would have been able to keep EJ as the bad guy and hide her past a little better.
I think that she didn't realize until way too late that she'd been outwitted. ( I will not comment on how difficult that that likely wasn't.)

Thanks Prof... I tried to search if the Garmin's would have info on them that was saved/stored about where someone has driven, mileage, etc. and I couldn't find any answer.

Good morning Sleuthers,
I just wanted to weigh in on the GPS subject. My fiance owns one. I THINK it's a Garmin. It's a handheld deal that has a cradle that you can attach to the window with a suction cup. As far as I know, it only stores whatever "directions" you request on it. If EJ was driving around without consulting/using the GPS, IMO, that information will not be stored.

Now the GPS that come pre-installed in vehicles, things like OnStar. My understanding is that those will store everywhere the vehicle has been and some even have tracking chips as well.

Has anyone looked at the Jeanne B. associated with the phone number EJ used in her craigslist ads for the dogs and free baby cloths. I can see she is a Realtor but what more do we know about her and what was/is her association with EJ?

I would think that LE would at least get her phone records. EJ could have used her phone to make contact with whoever was helping her and also with whoever has Gabriel.

Brainstorming. I'm looking for more ideas. Please help me keep the juices flowing in this old brain. TIA.

It is December 24, Christmas Eve. You're a 23 year old young woman, with a rough background, no friends, and a bad temper.

You're in a hotel room in a city you don't know, alone, with a baby you don't want or care about. You're depressed and you're very angry that your baby's father won't assist you in giving away your baby. You hate this man. He's ruined your life. You want to hurt him, and hurt him bad.

You've tried thing after thing to tweak the laws to sever the baby's father's rights so you can give your baby away, and you just found out that you're out of options to do things that way.

You've got to get this baby off your hands and away from his daddy finally and completely.

It's Christmas Eve. Workers in organizations have gone home for the day. There's not much chance you'll be able to reach anybody by phone.

You're good with computers. There's a computer in the hotel lobby. It's your only hope.

What do you search for? What keywords do you use to find somebody to take this baby, illegally, and quick?

Seeking to adopt...but I think she set this up before she ever left Az. JMO

I'm going back and looking again at news stories about women who sell their babies to get some fresh ideas. My old brain is tired today. Maybe if I post some, it'll give some of you young whippersnappers some ideas.

Internet baby sale mother jailed

A woman who tried to sell her unborn baby over the internet to two childless couples has been jailed for two years.

"adopt:
Immediate placement
Home study ready
no questions asked
closed adoption
desperate for a child
blackmarket adoption
safe haven

And if I had to tag that kind of post.
needs immediate home
needs forever home
adopt now
don't ask, don't tell
save my son
baby being abused

You know if I were 23, sitting in a hotel room on Christmas with no one but the baby I didn't want, I would use the computer to find the couple...religious, desperate and hoping for a miracle. I would find their posts, trace their address (if we can do it, so can she) and literally leave him on their doorstep, hoping that they will believe it's a miracle. Maybe even including a note that I am a young mother on the run and if they have faith in God they will keep this child safe, as his father will kill him if he goes home.

Just a thought. We don't know what happened after those pictures were taken.
Long shot idea, but what isn't at this point?

As good as any in my opinion. We just don't know. I can't think of any good search terms on this. Oh, I wish today to be the day Gabriel is found safe and sound.

My husband is a sales manager for dodge dealership and I will question him tomorrow on the GPS thing as I know i've heard alot of his calls about them.. will get back to you tomorrow on them!

I've asked my husband on the GPS's this morning. Just waiting on his email back to me to let me know if they track you even if you don't have them on.

Alone in a hotel room on Christmas, with a baby she didn't want (and very, very angry at the baby's father)...some more possible search (or advertising) words she might have used:

Adoption assistance
Abused child/baby needs loving home
Adoption/Immediate placement

Maybe she placed an ad from Tempe and picked up the responses in San Antonio?

Please don't laugh. Sometimes crazy things happen. Here's a look at the angle that Eliz is, for whatever crazy reasons, telling the truth: She was at a park with Gabriel, crying, and a couple came up to her to ask what's wrong.

Playing profiler (badly). What do we know?

they were a couple and I, um I know how much people who don't have their own children just want a baby and they can't have their own babies

- they don't have children
- they had been wanting a baby. Friends, family, co-workers know this.
- they can't have babies. Friends, family, co-workers know this.
- they don't have their *own* children. Are they foster parents? Taking care of a relative's or friend's child or children? Do they work with children? Do they volunteer in a children's program?

Why was the couple at the park?

- jogging, going for a walk, walking their dog. They live nearby.
- looking at the pavilions to rent (if Raymond Russell park. May not be that park.) They don't necessarily live nearby, but they don't live very far away.

What would they have been interested in renting a pavilion for?
- social event, family reunion, wedding (theirs, a friend's, a relative's. either or both could be wedding party principals or members), organization picnic

What other parks are near the hotel?

What are their finances?
Just about any financial status would jog, walk, walk a dog in a park. The more money they have, the less likely they'd be to rent a pavilion, unless perhaps for a company business. Maybe one they own. Small business.

They're going to change Gabriel's appearance, and/or keep him secluded until he's old enough that his facial features change. What kind of people can do this?
- Female stays home, doesn't work, or has just quit her job. Can't have a babysitter or they'll call LE.
- Few or no friends or family in the area. Loners with family out of state.
- Quiet couple, but outgoing enough to walk up to a stranger who's crying and offer help
- Desperate enough for a baby that they are willing to go the illegal route.
- They've been wanting a baby but had not yet adopted. Couldn't adopt? They were waiting to get married?

FWIW. Feel free to copy, change, add, subtract. Just thinking out loud. Trying to get the old brain going and spur some tips for LE. Maybe somebody else will think of something. LE stated tips are critical now.

(Thank you so much for the search tips. Good ones!)

She probably would have done it back in Tempe. I'm just trying to go with some more angles and see what falls out.

Thanks, b4e :)

BeanE may I add to your list above?
If there is a couple, I would expect them to have either just moved to the area and/or be in a fragile state themselves, emotionally. Either having lost a child or even a parent very recently.

Just a guess.

Does anyone else wonder if the Smiths will show up and try to grab the spotlight? I so hope Logan's people are prepared for this - prepared to escort the Smiths out.

I'd be surprised if the Smiths did show up... Tammi is a controller that seems to love working with safety nets (ie: from the computer, on Nancy Grace where she knows she will be coddled, controlling media interviews at the jail...)... I don't see her having the backbone to take on a grouping that she can't control. BUT... I wouldn't put it past her to try to take a page from the Worlds Greatest Bounty Hunter book of media whoredom and trying to pull off her own gathering somewhere down the line.

Maybe a search of San Antonio and surrounding areas for obituaries of kids about Gabe's age? Allowing a few months for the initial grieving process.

In the search for the mystery couple.

(Sorry, BeanE, you got me thinking, now I'll never shut up.)
