I need to recap the time frames. I read somewhere, the time of death was recorded as 8:20am?

What time did he leave for coffee, wasn't it 8am? JVS is saying when he returned from buying coffee he saw that SF used his laptop and that's when he lost it. Didn't he return around 9am?

Something is off with the time of death, or maybe I don't have my facts accurate.

It has been reported that Joran left around 8:20 to go get coffee, however Jane just reported on air that the place where Joran went to get coffee doesn't open until 9:00 AM.

The video has Joran leaving the hotel in his striped shirt, duffle bag, etc. at ~8:40 AM.

I will upload Jane'e report shortly.

Thank you. I saw that in the diagram, but no one is talking about the coffee being in the room, that is what I am looking for. Jane reported soda and Mark didn't say anthing.

I heard there were two sodas, one container empty and the other still had something in it. There was only one coffee container. I believe I heard this on either Jane's or Nancy's show.

Does anyone know what prompted this new search for Natalee's remains in Aruba? Perhaps there was some sort of info on Joran's computer or someone finally came forward with info now that he is in custody. Or maybe officials in Peru beat the information out of him (that would be my preference).

It seems to me that they are finally taking what "terror Jaap" has said happened right after JVS death... They confiscated all his computers and electronic equipment and such...A poster had mentioned his name in the day after the murder was discovered, and I googled his name and was very suprisedabout what I read...I suggest you google "terror jaap." and read the article regarding Bubali Pond...its in the middle of the page and is in English...:twocents:

My whole thought on weather SF was alive when he went for coffee, is when and if we ever see that video I want to know what shirt he was wearing...If he had on the white shirt from the night before that was found with her body, then I will beleive that she was alive, but if he was already in the striped shirt then I think she was already dead...It was also reported early on that someone heard an argument in that room..What time was that? My guess is that is when he killed her....Even though we know alot there is still alot to be learned......And Joran where is NH she deserves to be found, her parents deserve to have a proper burial for her and a place that they can go and visit there daughter....Even if they have to beat it out of him that info needs to come out....It is time for the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I know I am being a "pain", but it bothers me that Jane didn't actual report the coffee cup when she states the 2 cans of soda. You would think she would have stated "2 cans of soda and 1 cup of coffee.

By the way the discussions went with Nancy and Jean, Jean quoted from the police report about the coffee with residue (in diagram).

My "beef" is, why didn't any of the reporter initially mention "2 cans of soda and 1 cup of coffee" found in the room?

no no no...more likely she was asleep after being drugged...still asleep when he left for coffee... she may have woken up without her pants on and been hysterical...he may have taken her keys with him to the coffee...he may have tried to redrug her again with the coffee...maybe she wouldn't drink it??? she fought him...he wouldn't give her her purse or keys....

My thoughts:

IF Joran killed Stephany because she was on his computer researching his name, makes me think that the 3 hours prior to Joran going for coffee, things may just have been just two people in a room together, maybe just talking, maybe a little fooling around and perhaps at some point after some coffee Stephany would have just left and went home.

It's possible they may have had relations even though reports state she is an "out" lesbian" but not sure and anxiously await results of the autopsy.

If there were any issues within that 3 hours stay before Joran went for coffee, Stephany would have taken the opportunity to leave while Joran was out. I believe Stephany was alive when Joran left to get coffee.

I have to add, IF he didn't go for coffee, then I have to redo my thoughts!

IMO, I don't feel Joran's initial intentions were to kill Stephany, and I say this only because he went out at some point to get some coffee and bread.

Once he returned and Stephany was on the computer, and she asked if he is the Joran van der Sloot with regards to the Natalie Holloway case, then everything changed.

I am thinking alone those same lines too. I was thinking Stephany was going to maybe use his email and found correspondence pertaining to the
bribe money. And from that point put 2 & 2 together, or goggled/searched his name.

I noticed that, too. Perhaps its a file photo, taken during the NH investigation when he was still in Aruba. Notice his hair is longer, too.

What is interesting (and missing) from this confession is the "why was she with him in the hotel room to begin with" part.

When you tell a story - you usually start from the beginning.......

"I told her this...... or she said that.......and WE decided to go back to the room....... or WE went to my room for thus and so............"

We are missing a critical part of this confession - why?

I'm beginning to wonder if the purse found in his possession was one of the girls in Columbia. We never saw SF with a white purse, and to be honest, I don't think that would be her choice of style for a purse, personally. ??

I believe Stephany was already dead at least a couple of hours before he went out for coffee.

I believe that between the time Stephany entered the hotel room, and the time he went for coffee, he had already beaten her to death, showered and changed his clothes.

He went for coffee to check the atmosphere of the hotel (make sure no one was acting suspiciously), and then I'll bet he went through Stephany's car, looking for what he could steal from it, and see if it would be a feasible way for him to get out of town.

He then went back to the hotel with two coffee cups as a ruse to make it appear that both of them were still alive, when in fact, only he was still alive. I'm sure he was very aware that he was being recorded by surveillance cameras.

He then went back up to the room with the two coffees to take one last look at his 'handiwork', and to gather the bloody clothes, hoping to clean up the room a bit. Once the task of 'cleaning up' proved to be too formidable, he simply gathered the items he wanted to take, and left for the last time.

(I'll bet if he had a camera- or a cell phone with a camera- he took/ would have taken a picture of her dead body- which the authorities would now have).

Anyway, I believe that Stephany was dead before he left under the ruse of 'getting coffee'.
