According to Bobbi-Jo Vader, Travis was in Edmonton from July 4th to July 9th, staying with their former foster mother. She said he came to the city because he was sick and needed to rest.

Reporters asked Bobbi-Jo Vader what vehicle Vader was driving when he came into the city at the beginning of the month.

"I can't comment on that at this time." she said, adding "I can tell you it was not the SUV."

The sister of a man whom RCMP consider a person of interest in the case of the missing St. Albert, Alta., couple says her brother was sick and tired when he showed up at her family's home a day after the McCanns were last seen.

Vader, 38, who appeared in a courtroom for less than three minutes, is charged with breach of recognizance and breach of an undertaking both for drinking alcohol while on probation and failure to appear.

He is scheduled to be back in court Aug. 10.

"Travis did come to me in the city on the 4th to the 9th of July. And he stayed with Esther," said Bobbi-Jo V., who came to the courtroom with her foster mother, Esther Rose M-C.

"He was tired and he was sick and he needed to rest."

If you knew Travis as a person, you would know he would never harm — or do anything to — any innocent person. Travis is not like that, whatsoever. I believe in my heart that he had nothing to do with the missing couple."

The Edmonton woman, who was accompanied by her stepmother, Esther Rose McKay-Croswell, said she feels terrible for the McCanns and “everyone is sick to their stomach” over their “heartbreaking” disappearance.

“I really hope they find their parents,” she said.

McKay-Croswell said she thought Vader looked “really rough” in court due to his withdrawal from the drugs and is glad he can get the help he needs while behind bars.

“Meth is a terrible thing. It wrecks your life,” she said.

I had been wondering about how is TV coping without meth? I guess it would depend on the level of dependance. :waitasec: Anyone knows what are the withdrawal symptoms of meth? Would he be more willing to cooperate with LE, and tell the truth of what he knows, that is IF he was in any way involved in the disappearance of the McCanns.
Also, does any one know if people was under the effect of meth or combination of meth/alcohol, would remember what happened?

I was the one who posted here on Jul 18th, that on Global TV Calgary news at 6pm, the newscaster Jayme Doll stated at the END of the piece, that Global TV had spoken to Bobbi-Jo and she (B.J.) had claimed that she had been in Edmonton with her brother (or he'd been in Edmonton with her) from the period of Jul 4 to 11 - but that Bobbi-Jo did not want to speak on camera. Now she claims it was Jul 4 to 9? Get your stories straight, maybe?!

She claims he was just a poor, hard done by, tired and sick meth head. Awww, so sad and heart-wrenching. NOT.

She paints him out to be some harmless nice guy who's just lost in life. Give me a break. He's got a rap sheet longer than a mile, his own father was publicly warning people NOT to corner him, his ex wife spoke out to the media about what a scary individual he was such that for the safety of herself and her 6 children, she had gone into hiding.

Even on the poster put out by LE re: Vader being a POI, it clearly stated on the bottom that he was "dangerous" and could be armed and not to approach him. So everyone is lying and Bobbi-Jo is the only one telling the truth about this guy's character? Give me a freaking break. I hope that LE fully investigates HER because it would seem that she's telling big tales to try and cover the arse of her meth-head brother.

Westlock was also home to Robert and Danny Sand, and their accomplice Laurie Bell. I remember reading that Robert Sand and Laurie Bell wore wedding bands they got by robbing a farm couple. Barrhead is home to two men connected to the Fallen Four case. I remember reading that the Sand brothers did a lot of back-and-forth between Westlock and Barrhead. There seems to be some kind of problem up there, in a quadrant connected to Mayerthorpe. As I recall, one of the men in the Courtepatte case was from Fort St. John, so that quadrant could stretch further.
