NEWTON, NC (WBTV) - The father of Zahra Baker was in Catawba County court Friday morning on four misdemeanor charges.

What exactly does the internet games (from the PL thread), AB's mom, etc, have to do with these other charges?

AB's day is coming soon. He will soon he the click, click of handcuffs and the jail doors closing behind him! The ICE detainer and various other charges are just days away. I can hardly wait!!!

Watching that video of AB and KB entering the court room, my first reaction was that he looks just like a kid being marched to the principal's office by his mother. This is a 33 year old man! What's with the shuffling, scuffling, "awshucks", routine? Does he NOT comprehend that the situation he's in is alot more serious then just throwing a baseball through Mr. Wilson's picture window? And if this isn't all an act and he really DOESN'T comprehend the gravity of this situation, maybe there really IS something wrong with him "upstairs".

Just...unbelieveable.

A silver PT Cruiser with Alabama plates huh. Could be a rental - but why would such a small town rental have Alabama plates? Interesting.

And "the likelihood that Baker will eventually be charged" sounds like even the local media are jsut waiting for that arrest.

I wonder if he's been psych evaluated - even if it was just a "routine" observation to prescribe "coping" meds. What that "unusual man" must have running through his head right about now.

No - remember he is out on bond and that usually requires that the person stay there until their court date - they can go ask a judge if they need to go anywhere.

Cops Awaiting Analysis of 'Couple Hundred' Pieces of Evidence in Zahra's Death

Police are investigating possible bigamy charges against the stepmother of Zahra Baker, the disabled North Carolina girl whose body was found dismembered earlier this month.

"It's something that we found out during the course of this [Zahra's] investigation," a police official told ABC News of the investigation into Elisa Baker's alleged second husband. The investigation is not connected to Zahra's death, the official said.

According to the affidavit of indigency Baker filled out, he has no monthly income. He listed no money coming in from employment, welfare, Social Security or his spouse's employment.

Baker has $80 in total assets and liabilities, and he didn't list any other personal assets on the affidavit, which can include vehicles and real estate.

Not too much of a surprise. He didn't own the vehicles, rented from his boss, and he's unemployed now. Sounds like the $80.00 is probably cash in his wallet. MOO

Ok....my questions.

Places in Hudson (my daughter just rented one) require you to pay at least a month's rent PLUS a month's rent for deposit. The power company requires a deposit and so does the water company.

So how is AB paying for all of this? Mommy?

And if he has no monthly income then how is he going to pay the rent next month? Mommy?

Has mommy decided to move to the USA too? And how long is her Visa going to be good for?
