So now that I have confirmation of the car belonging to her brother, the comment she made to police that it had been "running strange" the past week, I would be interested in knowing how long she actually had the vehicle in her possession and if the car was really not running well why her brother would lend it to her? I know my brother would NOT let me drive a car that was messed up. I still want to know why she had it in the first place. Car situation is still uneasy in my mind.

BBM. Exactly. Why would her brother give her a 'disabled' vehicle to transport two small children?

I had forgotten about mom commenting on the car "running strange"
for the past week and I too am wondering exactly how long mom had the car.

I wonder if any of the maternal family, other than mom, volunteered to take poly's.

Before last night I was almost certain there was no involvement by mom bio family in Sky's disappearance, now I am not so sure.

Daily police updates on the search for Sky Metalwala have come to an end even as the boy's father continues his own efforts to find the 2-year-old.
Meantime, volunteers are ramping up their search to keep the boy's story alive. Two dozen volunteers knocked on doors at homes in Issaquah and Sammamish on Wednesday to alert residents about the boy's case.

Search for Sky moves to Issaquah as father seeks clues
The father of a 2-year-old boy missing for 11 days was out again Wednesday, spreading the word in hopes of finding his son.

Sky Metalwala’s father, Solomon Metalwala, and a group of volunteers passed out leaflets in Issaquah and the Sammamish Plateau Wednesday afternoon.

Odd details emerge in case of missing Wash. boy
From the moment a Washington toddler was reported missing 11 days ago, police had serious questions about his mother's story that she left him alone in an unlocked car after running out of gas.
The case has become even stranger since.
For starters, Julia Biryukova's car had plenty of gas and was running fine, police determined. She had told them it stalled as she was driving her 2-year-old son to the hospital because he wasn't feeling well, and that she left him inside as she and the boy's sister spent an hour walking to a gas station and calling a friend for help.
Biryukova's estranged husband — the two are in a bitter divorce and custody fight — said her story was full of holes and bore similarities to a recent episode of her favorite show: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." He also claimed in divorce documents that Biryukova had dreamt of strangling the boy.

I can't get past the whole "taking Sky to the hospital because he was sick" statement . . . what kind of "sick" would JB think Sky needed to be seen @ the ER? Not breathing? Vomiting/diarrhea? Listlessness? . . . was this just a set up for him being found dead? The L&O episode she watched the night before had a child that died from SIDS who staged a kidnapping to cover up the burial of their child with his favorite blanket and toy. . . . is this a clue to finding Sky?

Mother didn't show up for a hearing last week regarding visitation, so JB has been denied visitation. (per Solomon's attorney on Nancy's Show)

am just catching up so sorry if this has already been mentioned: but LE has been quoted as saying she got zero visitation because they (LE) were afraid she would influence/have an effect on M****

KOMO News also obtained a CPS case summary, which documents five referrals to the agency. Only one was ruled "founded," and the ruling referred to the incident in which the couple left Sky alone in a car in the parking lot of a Target store in 2009.

I was thinking again today about this case and hoping that something will break in this case soon. I feel the cops are allowing JUlia to be free so that they can observe her, hoping she will do things that will lead them to Sky or will do something to incriminate herself, or even do something illegal that they can use as leverage against her.

Remember that Casey and OJ both were charged with murder, acquitted but were convicted of totally different crimes. Even Ron Cummings (sp?) and Misty Croslin are doing time for something other than the disappearance of Haleigh.

So maybe the police are making sure they have a "plan B" for when they take her into custody to ensure she won't get out even if they can't connect her to the disappearance of Sky.

Now, that being said.... I was thinking today about Julia's seeming tendency towards stripes such as Sky almost always wearing striped clothes and her insistence on vacuuming and leaving perfect straight lines or stripes on the freshly vacuumed floor.


Good thing she likes stripes because I see a lot of them in her future wardrobe, like a classy little jumpsuit with big black and white stripes along with a new little home with bars that look just like stripes too.:behindbar

Do we have the actual addresses that JB lived at and when Sky was last seen (verified by an independent 3rd party)? I could swear we had some exact addresses posted in MSM at some point but can't remember where I saw them. I would love to put those into the interactive map and do a "walkabout".

True, but the mother is the only one who has an extreme OCD diagnosis, a somewhat recent record of a 72 hour hold, suicidal thoughts and thoughts of harming her children.

Why didn't she use her own car?
Why was she using her bro's car?

This so called 'mother' reminds me so much of Casey Anthony it makes me sick. She is apparently a complete narcissist and totally self absorbed. And this is on top of the other psychiatric problems she reportedly has, bipolar, severe OCD to the point of being delusional, etc. She cares nothing for anyone but herself. Period.

Even worse, this completely mentally incompetent person has been allowed to have complete control over these two little children for an extended period of time. This is in spite of there being other so-called responsible adults, family, friends, including the father, in the picture. This is totally outrageous and unacceptable.

This 'mother' had already been known to have had serious mental health issues, so the fact that the children were with her, in my opinion, is in itself a serious problem. To add to that, her dysfunctional and enabling family and friends share responsibility as well. The father is well meaning, but he is weak, and should have taken the children from her long ago. He did not try hard enough. I hope they are all thinking long and hard about this.

I agree with almost all of your post. I'm not so sure dad is "weak". Fathers go through he77 in family court when up against women like JB. Based on the court documents we've seen, I believe dad did everything in his power to protect these children. The courts and CPS obviously made the wrong decision, most likely a fatal decision on behalf of this child.

I hope those who enabled this mother; the courts, CPS, moms friends, moms family, and the specialists who bought into this mothers load of bs are all thinking long and hard.
