The Elevator Video: What's your take?

The angles don't match up for the mirror hypotheses. I attached a photo I took from what I estimated to be her position during the verbal exchange.

    Elisa Lam - What Happened?

The rules don't apply during an ongoing investigation :( I check for updates on a daily basis. It has gotten so bad that my Twitter account popped up on an "Elisa Lam toxicology" Yahoo search. It was only showing posts for the past 24hrs but I'm not sure if that makes it any better lol

The Elevator Video: What's your take?

Forgot to mention that the upper floors seemed to be residential so I'm not sure she would have had a room on the 13th. I'm not positive on that though.

The Elevator Video: What's your take?

From what I saw there is more than one toilet on each floor and the showers are separate. Doesn't mean both could have been occupied or that her floor had 2, but I am just throwing my observation out there. Also, some guest rooms have private bathrooms. Do we know what floor or room she was on?

The Elevator Video: What's your take?

Threelittlepigs, let me start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed reading your analysis! You made some very interesting points and sharing your thought process was enlightening. The comments below are for the first half of your post and if I ever want to make it out of the house today the second...

The Elevator Video: What's your take?

No tox yet but I am so glad you mentioned Ambien! That is a great alternative to all of the street drugs being tossed around. I feel ashamed for not having thought of it myself. We shouldn't assume erratic behavior is always the result of mental illness or illicit drug use.

    The Water Tanks

Sorry about that! I guess I didn't see those Canadian media reports. Anyways, the door didn't fully latch closed so it didn't need to be propped open in order to avoid being locked out. The double doors near the tank were locked and I didn't try the door at the top of the red stairs. Random...

    The Water Tanks

The media got it wrong a few times, here is a quick summary of those I encountered- - there was no lock on the emergency exit/roof access door the fire alarm did not go off upon open the emergency exit/roof access door there was no lock on one of the two 14th floor window fire escapes...

    Elisa Lam - What Happened?

Short and sweet response :) (Lord knows I could drag it out!) -The elevators do not require a key card. I walked right in off the street. -I'm pretty sure she inadvertently pressed the "hold" button, causing the doors to remain open.

That is how we got onto the roof. It was not locked or even able to latch closed properly.

    The Water Tanks

Whatever the reason, she really shouldn't have been up there. The 14th floor appeared to be one of the residential floors, not a hotel guest floor. There are residents who are very upset with the new owners attempts to market the hotel as being touristy and trendy. She very well could have...

    The Water Tanks

They aren't THAT bad. Plus she could have avoided them altogether by climbing up the red ladder instead.

    The Water Tanks

Sorry I know I trail off... Yes, I do believe she could have gotten in the tank on her own, so long as it happened to be unlocked. Her perception could have been severely distorted. I am suspicious about the person she is talking with in the video. If it was a hallucination, she could have...

    The Water Tanks

An autopsy can give strong evidence to support a drowning death but its not as clear cut as they make it seem on tv. She was in the water for a while so it had time to seep into her body and complicate things. The rate of decomp would have been slowed down, making it easier to visualize any...

    The Water Tanks

I am only 5'1" so getting onto the ladder was a bit tricky. I had to have one foot on a pipe and sort of jump up onto the ladder by pushing against the front tank. All the while the damn ladder was slippin' and slidin' around and setting the stage for yet another Cecil Hotel tragedy!
