GUILTY IN - Melinda Lindsey, 23, shot to death, Porter County, 16 Jan 2015 - #2

I remember reading some speculation that ML may have been pregnant, too. An autopsy would have been able to prove or disprove this as fact. I would imagine that a pregnancy would be very relevant in this case. Does anyone know if this has been been brought up in court?

I find it unbelievable that three dogs did nothing, either. However, these are the same dogs that let the stalker come into their yard and beat them....

In one of the first articles after SL's arrest, it was reported that there was a conspiracy charge. Perhaps that was reported in error or perhaps investigators are still working on it. According to the verified insider, Melinda saw the things her stalker supposedly did, but never actually saw...

IMO, the existence of a co-conspirator in this case sounds much more plausible than the existence of a stalker.

I think that SL's verified family member is honestly retelling the story that SL has told his family members. However, I think that the story SL has told his family members holds no resemblance to what actually occurred. Based upon the information found in this thread, it appears that the...

I am confused...accordingly to several newspaper articles previously linked, SL's brother stated that SL had moved out about 5-6 weeks before the murder took place and SL told the police that the couple had talked about divorce. Does anyone know for certain if they went on the cruise? There...

GUILTY FL - Damien Kornegay, 16, fatally shot, Columbia County, 5 Jan 2015

The parents of a 15-year-old girl who police say shot and killed her older brother near White Springs in January have signed away their parental rights. The State Attorney's Office said that it plans to file felony child abuse charges against the parents of Ariel Kornegay...

Absolutely agreed. If the accused does prove to be behind the stalking incidents, it is yet another outrageously cruel abuse of the victim. It certainly wasn't my intent to insinuate otherwise. What I meant was that the attempt to create reasonable doubt and an alibi may instead become...

It will be very interesting to see what the trial proves as the truth and the real story. My gut tells me that the stalker story was a creation of the murderer as an elaborate attempt to create a cover before the murder took place. I think it will end up proving nothing more than premeditation.

I don't know the accused or the victim, but I do know canine behavior very well. It has been stated the family had three dogs and at least one of the dogs was a very large breed known for having strong protective instincts. Given what I know about canine behavior and pack mentality, I find it...

Back here again today. Those kids have not left my mind since I first heard about this case yesterday. I alternate between immense sadness, stomach-churning nausea and blind rage at the parents, uncle, CPS and everyone else who so miserably failed those children. I have no new information or...

As ugly as this case already reads, I agree that it will only get uglier. I literally have a sick feeling in my stomach reading the articles and already have a sense of what was going on. I sincerely hope that the truth is easily discerned in this crime and that the true victims are identified...

GUILTY FL - Dylan Thomas & 2 others for near-fatal beating of 17yo, Satellite Beach, 2015

I just read the article and it doesn't state where the suspects were living, just that they didn't live at home with their parents. That strikes me as really odd. This story has haunted me since I first saw it on the news. It makes me want to never let my teenagers leave the house. So very sad.
