Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee Co, 10 May 2020 *Case dismissed w/o prejudice* *found in 2023* #113

Per the AA didn’t BM delete cell phone messages from the few days prior to when SM went missing?

Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee Co, 10 May 2020 *Case dismissed w/o prejudice* *found in 2023* #113

Hi again! I have a question about the dart and tranquilizer. Per the AA, BMs dart gun was in a safe when LE showed up and looked around right after SMs disappearance, correct? And LE said it looked like it hadn’t been used in a while, correct? Couldn’t Barry have used the dart without the gun...

Hello! I have not been on websleuths in a long time. I used to follow the Missy Bevers threads on here but this case brought me back. I have followed SMs case from the beginning and have read the entire arrest affidavit as well. I’m so glad they found SM’s remains and were able to find the...

I think there’s an MPD statement saying that Missy was “ambushed.” To me that means caught by surprise with no chance to fight back… does anyone else remember this report or maybe it was in one of the search warrants? However, yes, I hope they kept some of her clothing, etc. in case some sort of...

This is one of the things that makes me lean towards this being targeted. With that kind of heavy rain it seems a mere break-in looking for cash (or anything else) would be rescheduled…

I agree that SP is not dumpy. If you look at the video around :57 you look almost straight down on him and he looks really slim. I guess it’s the outfit, the cameras, and the angles that make him look bulky. IMO.

I was thinking if it is some sort of plastic wrap, maybe it was to avoid leaving footprints. But then again, it could be the leg gaitors NIN mentioned which I suppose could also help with that purpose.

Hi Gumshoe, I enjoy reading and appreciate your analysis. I used to be dead set on this being a targeted murder but now I’m 50/50 on targeted vs untargeted. But for me it’s less frustrating to focus on who MB knew who might want her killed. Even though I see that by now LE probably would have...

Hi Gumshoe, I remember either from one of your podcasts or on here you mentioned you didn’t agree with the path MPD is taking regarding persons of interest (I’m paraphrasing). I know you can’t reveal specifics but are you aware that MPD does have current persons of interest who are being watched...

I know CW was in the military and was in Iraq. He was the Linkedin guy. I don't know how much he was questioned and if he had an alibi, maybe LE just dropped it with him. Other than that I don't know, but having over 1.500 friends on FB, I'm sure she knew quite a few who were in the military.

Thanks NIN for the updated photos! Can anyone tell if the helmet has a mouth covering (that is actually part of the helmet) or is that a black cloth over the white balaclava where the nose and mouth are? Does anyone think SP has military experience? I also now think SP is fairly thin. At...

Other thoughts I had today... I used to be convinced this was a targeted murder. Recently, I've been open to it being a burglary gone wrong. And while I still think that is a possibility, I lean more heavily toward targeted. I can see a burglar donning a disguise in case he's on camera or seen...

I was just reviewing some of the documents Gumshoe has posted on his website. He has all of the search warrants and other relevant documents all in one convenient location, so I recommend his website for any info you might want to check out. Today, I read the Geofence search warrant. The...

Hi NIN and Gunshoe. I used to follow for a bout a year after the murder and I’m just getting back into it. Thank you for your excellent sleuthing on this matter. Gumshoe’s podcasts and blogs are excellent as well! Yes, I also need clarification on the left side picture in Gumshoe’s post. Thanks!

I'm curious which SW or affidavit this info came from? I have been following these threads since May 2016, and this is the first I've heard of this. I can't believe it got brushed aside. Thanks. Ok, I just saw the part in your post about a Dec. 2016 SW. Are you allowed to post it on here? thx.

To an extent, this is true. But LE generally is not required to reveal info to the public that can compromise and active investigation. An active investigation is sort of an "exception" to being completely forthcoming with the public.

As many people believe (including me), LE probably knows who did this. However, even if SP left DNA, if there is none on file to compare it to - and SP refused to give a sample during an interview with LE - then, LE is stuck. I also think if there was cell data, LE would have made an arrest by...

But at the one year anniversary it was reported that they have a person working on this case full time and that there are persons of interest. That could have changed by now but I don't think the case is completely cold even if it has slowed down.

Perhaps... but she regularly discussed locations and times of her classes on her FB page.
