GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: Tonight, where is little Haleigh? She's only 5, a little girl, and her whereabouts a mystery, a terrifying mystery. With every tick of the clock, fear intensifies. Now, here's what we know. At 3:00 AM Monday morning, the girlfriend of Haleigh's father notices the girl missing from the bed the two were sharing. About 25 minutes later, Haleigh's father reportedly comes home from work. His girlfriend tells him Haleigh is gone. Then two minutes later, at 3:27 AM, the girlfriend calls 911 and reports Haleigh missing.

UPDATED: Amber Alert: Last Day Of Ground Search For Haleigh

Authorities in Putnam County said they have left no stone unturned in their search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, but despite their efforts, there are still no clues leading to the girl's whereabouts.
The search continues Monday, with authorities planning to look in two more areas before suspending the ground search. Investigators admitted they were frustrated, but said they have made progress in their efforts to find Haleigh, who disappeared a week ago from her Satsuma home.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is scheduled to hold its daily briefing on the search for Haleigh Cummings at 4 p.m. Monday. Stay with News 13 for LIVE coverage when the news conference begins.

Ground search for Haleigh wraps up today

Ryan said they will conduct a search of two more small locations today. After that, the ground search phase of the investigation will be complete. Search crews will be placed on standby. "We're not just going to do searches for show," Ryan said, adding that Sunday was the last day EquuSearch would be used as well. Ryan said that even though the ground search may be ending, the investigation is still in high gear. He said the Sheriff's Office is working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI on the case.
Even though Sheriff's Office officials would not disclose where law enforcement was searching on Sunday, about 77 searchers from numerous agencies, including the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, were located just north of Crescent City off U.S. 17. It was an area that Ryan said was law enforcement sensitive based on tips they had received. However, a thorough search produced no new clues, he said.

The father of a missing Putnam County girl is begging a search group to continue looking for his daughter.
Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch wrapped up his search for Haileigh Cumming, 5, on Sunday.
Monday morning, Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, went to Miller’s tent to beg him to stay and help search for his daughter.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is planning to wrap up their ground search on Monday as well. They have moved south of Satsuma, where Haleigh was last seen, and they are searching areas near Lake Como and Crescent Lake.
It is unclear why the search area has moved, but deputies said they will provide more information at the 4 p.m. press conference on Monday.

SATSUMA - Today's updates:
7 a.m. Volunteers are not joining Putnam County deputies this morning in the search efforts for the missing 5-year-old girl.
10:30 a.m. Texas EquuSearch, the volunteer group that helped search for missing Haleigh Cummings over the weekend, should be wrapping up about noon today.
Today, sheriff's investigators are focusing on a "few areas of interest" from some of the tips they've received, Greenwood said. Greenwood couldn't say what type of locations or how many investigators would be searching today.

Clint Van Zandt, an NBC News consultant and former FBI profiler, came on with Gregory after Crystal Cummings and said called the case “a frustrating thing.” Statistics show that after the first day a child is missing, hopes of finding her alive decrease dramatically. “They’re playing beat the clock, and right now the clock is winning,” Van Zandt told Gregory.

He said that the girl’s family are probably still suspects, but suggested that someone with a vendetta against the girl’s father could have abducted her. He said the family had been in the trailer home for only a short time, so it’s possible that someone came there looking for a former tenant.
“They just moved into that trailer about three weeks ago, so someone could even have targeted a previous resident, or it could be some unknown child predator, but that’s tough,” Van Zandt said.

This is the marriage record of Bruce A. Griffis and Nancy Marie Johns, the mother of the bio=mom, Crystal Sheffield. Note that the witnesses to the marriage were Virgil Johns junior and Marilyn C. Johns.
In researching Virgil Johns junior, I've determined he's the father of Nancy M. Griffis. He was born in 1944, and was 21years old when his daughter was born. His present wife, Marilyn is nearly 10 years younger and Virgil married her in 1994, when Nancy M. Griffis was 29-years old. There's a deed in Baker County in which Virgil Johns gave property to Nancy Marie Griffis for the sum of "love and affection", instead of money. This almost always denotes a family relationship.

The Bard's first met Haleigh's father, Ron Cummings, last August.
Phyllis says, "They first moved next door to us, and then they needed a bedroom for each of the children he said, and so he asked to rent that house and we rented that to him in November."
The Bard's say, almost one week later, it's still so hard to believe. The FDLE Command Center is just yards from their front door, and Monday night, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office teamed up with the Florida Highway Patrol to set up a another roadblock outside the neighborhood. Sgt. Wells said the roadblock, which will be up until 2 a.m., is part of CART protocol, which is the Child Abduction Response Team.

That's the case of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. And the new sheriff is Jeff Hardy. Hardy was first a deputy in Broward County. He then joined the Putnam County sheriff's office and worked for it for almost 15 years. While there he was a deputy, a detective, and he worked in the narcotics unit.

The First Coast got to know Sheila 10 years ago when she was Sheila Clifton, mother of Maddie Clifton, the 8-year-old girl who disappeared from her home one day, leading to a massive search. Maddie's body was found nearby; she was killed by a neighbor. Her mother wants others to know that she understands how they feel, and that hope is a powerful ally in this time of distress.

4:30 p.m. Investigators announced this afternoon that they do not know what Haleigh Cummings was wearing the night she disappeared from her Satsuma home.
The pink shirt they initially thought she was wearing is in their possession. Authorities wouldn't release any more details about the shirt how they discovered the shirt and whether it was being tested for forensic evidence. "Now, what we need to focus on is the face," said Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent in Charge Dominick Pape. "We don't want people to focus on the shirt."
9:53 a.m. New tips generated overnight have led Putnam County investigators to places around Florida and even out-of-state to search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. Detectives canvassed the Satsuma neighborhood last night and found new people they hadn't spoken to the first time they did a "knock and talk" last week, an official said.
Several people have been taken polygraph tests, including Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings, 25, and his girlfriend Misty Croslin, 17. Croslin was the last person to see Haleigh before she disappeared. Investigators would not release information about what those tests showed or comment on whether they still believe Croslin is telling the truth.
Chad Eugene Reynolds, 25, who was convicted in Putnam in 2003 of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12, has not been seen since he left his mother's Ocklawaha home for a Super Bowl party Feb. 1.
Marion officials alerted Putnam County investigators about Reynolds after Haleigh disappeared. At this point, authorities don't think the two are connected, Marion County Sheriff's spokeswoman Jenifer Fisher said.

Now, officials do not know what clothing the girl was wearing when she was reported missing from her Putnam County home on Feb. 19. At a 4 p.m. news conference, investigators would make no comment about the pink shirt.
With the ground search wrapped up around Haleigh's home, investigators moved to the Lake Como area on Tuesday.
But more tactical searches may be in the future for law enforcement officers as they follow up on tips and other leads.

Afterward, volunteers began packing up to leave, something Ronald Cummings said is his worst nightmare. "Law enforcement is discouraged. Volunteers, I don't know, but I encourage anybody that wants to help look for my daughter come back and help me look," Ronald Cummings said.
Cummings, however, made one final call to his daughter, hoping she was listening.
"For the perpetrator or perpetrators, please bring her home. Please bring her home safe," Cummings said. "And if she's watching, baby, I love you. I'll never give up on you."

Haleigh Search Taking Financial Toll On Sheriff's Office

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Eyewitness News has learned that Putnam County commissioners will be looking for financial help from the state and federal governments because of the search for Haleigh.
From overtime and fuel, to equipment costs, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff hardy said the search has taken a toll on the sheriff's office budget.
Hardy said assistance from outside agencies helped, but the county still has a bottom line. He met with commissioners Monday to discuss other possibilities for funding.
