Per law enforcement - Sarah was only 16 or 17 years old when she went missing sometime in 1977. Very little is known about her disappearance. Her parents are both deceased and her siblings are searching for answers. She was described as a White female, 5'4", 110 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

So yeah, sounds to me like there's enough uncertainty to make her a possibility.

I forwarded your email to Deputy Bob Hunter for follow-up. He informed me that Jane Doe #02-76 only has a partial nucDNA, which was not enough for entry into CODIS. There is mtDNA in CODIS. Burrow's NamUs record is not clear on how strong a profile was obtained. Deputy Hunter sent a request to the California Department of Justice DNA Lab for the cases to be reviewed and compared if possible.

Thank you for bringing this possible match back up on our radar. We will update NamUs with the results.

Sarah Tokier's twin brother (name Abraham I think) is a cop. I assume he would have checked this out when his sister went missing.

Sarah's parents divorced & remarried then divorced again. I looked them up on a family tree site. I think that the family dynamics had a lot to do with no one knowing what was up because they probably didn't all live together.

Abraham Tokier is her twin brother's name. He was a cop. You can google him; he comes up with a PI agency now IIRC

Diana K. Laughlin sounds physically like this UID and the timing of her disappearance is consistent.

The circumstances of her disappearance don't really line up, because it sounds like [IMO] that she met with bad fate, but maybe if the reporting party's father is telling the truth, she could be the lady in the mine?

The reporting party stated that her father took Diana out one day. He returned without her and stated he had put her on a bus to Missouri.The family hasn't seen Diana since.

I really wish I had a photo of her, then I could have a better idea if it was Diana.

Sarah Tokier is a good match, probably better than Diana Laughlin. Montebello is about 220 miles from Nipton; Yahoo maps estimates it to be a 3 hour 20 minute drive. One thing I don't understand is if Sarah disappeared from Montebello (which is in Los Angeles County) why is the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department the investigating agency?
 
I've been working on a facial reconstruction for the Nipton Woman. I probably have a bit of clean-up yet to do on it, but this is what I have so far.

I wonder how sure they are of her Date LKA. Could this be one of those instances where they are showing the Report Date as the Date LKA?
 
Wow, yeah, she does look really similar, but while it sounds like there's a possibility of a few days' error in her last seen date, it's not likely to be more than a year off. Also, the UID doesn't have Patsy's widow's peak.

I agree that this is probably not Patsy. But remember that Heidi Balch's Date LKA was about six years off.
 
I see that Ingrid was mentioned in an earlier post. I cannot find a thread for her on websleuths but seeing Carl's picture - i cannot help but wonder more. There are conflicting ages on Doe & Charley Project for Ingrid years of 1977 & 1971.

NamUs has another photo of Patsy Ravens. She looks even more like our UID here. But It says that she was only 19 years old in this photo (i.e., about 12 years before her Date LKA).

I e-mailed David Van Norman last night. He passed it on to his investigator, Bob Hunter, who reviewed the two cases and verified that they are not a match.

I know that the circumstances don't really add up and Mary Bostick was somewhat smaller than the UID when she was last seen in 1972, but I do see a resemblance between her and the unidentified woman in the mine. Unfortunately, Mary's photo is not very clear.

Martha Morrison lines up more with the UID (vital statistic wise), yet something about the way she looks is different than the woman from Nipton (I can't exactly pinpoint what it is -- maybe her nose?).

I was thinking about the discussion of Zzyzx road on a different thread, so on my trip back to California I pulled off on Zzyzx road (a few turnoffs beyond the border), to look around. I snapped these photos. Nipton would be off in the distance to the left.

Incidentally, the Primadonna casino had to change its name after it made national news about a famous murder that occurred there. Eighteen year old Jeremy Strohmeyer followed 7-year old Sherrice Iverson into the women's restroom and murdered her in one of the stalls.
