What the heck is going on in this world??

Seemingly normal people with normal lives getting murdered for what? I am assuming he was murdered but not sure what suspicious death encompasses.

One of Mariosarti current co-owners, Risko Isic, described Mr Milos as "our little brother".

"He was with us in the business from the beginning and he decided to go and follow his dream to write a book. That’s when he decided he needed some more time and [to] be away from the restaurant," Mr Isic told reporters.

Detectives investigating the death have called for residents and business owners near the Morningside home where he was found to come forward if they have security footage of the area.

We’re appealing for associates of Mr Milos or people who may know him to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers and provide information that may assist with this investigation, he said

Acting Inspector Geary said Mr Milos had been staying at the Key Street property, but had also been living at his parents’ house.

However he wouldn’t comment on whether Mr Milos had known enemies or if a weapon had been used in the killing.

It sounds as though Peter lived at his parents place, but used to sometimes/often stay at the Key Street place where he was found deceased. I'd say the people who live there have some explaining to do.

When the report first came up last night it said a body was found in the street. Then it changed to "outside a Queenslander".

Today's reports started off as a body found in a garage. Then it changed again to "found in a room off the garage"

May 06, 2014 9:32PM

On Tuesday night, police had set up evidence markers in multiple places along the street and outside of the Queenslander where the body had been found

Murdered Brisbane chef Peter Milos led double life of drugs, violence

May 08, 2014 12:00AM

A PROMINENT Brisbane chef who was bludgeoned to death led a double life of drugs, violence and underworld links

The Courier-Mail can reveal his Fortitude Valley apartment was raided in February by drug squad detectives who suspected he was dealing ecstasy at a music festival.

Mr Milos was thrown out by the landlord after the raid and an earlier fight in the basement of the building in which he allegedly beat another man with a metal bar.

Murdered chef Peter Milos had links to Albanian mafia family

May 08, 2014 12:00AM

A MURDERED restaurateur who was once a rising star of Brisbane’s fine dining scene had underworld connections which ran deep.

Peter Milos was a blood relative of an Albanian mafia family that was taken down in one of Queensland’s biggest drug stings, which also netted his eldest brother Allen.

Sources say Mr Milos himself battled a heroin addiction while making his mark in the kitchen at Mariosarti, an exclusive, appointment restaurant he ran with his other brother Daniel.

But while Peter was whipping up risotto, brother Allen was cooking up ice and slinging it on a grand scale.

Last year Allen was slapped with a 13-year jail term for trafficking and production and will be behind bars until 2020 at the earliest.

That certainly gives some perspective to his facebook timeline comments.

Is everyone else as confused as I am?

One article says he beat a man with a metal bar but the above article quotes Daniel, his brother, saying he was a big teddy bear who if you pushed him wouldn't even fight.

Absolutely Plumeria5.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
from the same article......
"His eldest brother, Allen Milos, is serving 13 years’ jail after he was caught up in one of the state’s biggest drug stings, Operation Warrior.

Mr Milos and his brother Daniel frequently appeared in the media as owners of Mariosarti at Toowong, a fine-dining restaurant frequented by lawyers and businessmen.

Also they previously owned Al Dente at middle park Brisbane which their jailed and convicted drug dealer brother Allen Milos also claimed ownership of on social media. He's even got a nice review and photo with a famous person of him working in the restaurant :) https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&...H2GvZE3SIpHQzBsag&sig2=-JMH9qI0C2a45dbsjESh_g

Interesting comments from the courier mail reviewer on the state of the economy at the time.

There is a photo gallery here of 20 Key Street Morningside, the location of Peter's murder.

Thanks for this, possum. I think there must have been a bit of a trail of forensic evidence ..... the photo with the police markers around the bins seems to have been taken in front of this location, two houses away from the blue house where he lived, judging by the front wall/bushes and the front wall of the neighbouring house.

I wonder if Peter was attacked on the street, or the killer fled away down the street.
