Australia - Peter Milos, 26, Brisbane chef, found murdered, 6 May 2014

Is it strange that the above says in lieu of flowers donations to Beyond Blue - They are a wonderful organisation but family usually request donations to organisations close to the COD of their loved one - don't they?

Does this mean it was suicide or just something close to their hearts?

It would be very difficult for him to beat himself to death. This isn't quite adding up.

The Courier-Mail can reveal the former chef was arrested five times in five months – charged over a knife, a stun-gun, capsicum spray and a samurai sword – before he was found bashed to death last week.

Milos, 26, had been due to front court the day before his funeral yesterday, where older brother and convicted trafficker Allen, who was escorted from jail for the service, read his eulogy in handcuffs

^ From above article I am very disappointed that someone can be fined ONLY $200 for being in possession of a drug as serious as ice ... a drug that is filling our jails and hospitals with people who are PERMANENTLY deranged. More serious consequences for being in possession of ice could have saved his life in the long run.
Similarly PM's mother was found by police to have proceeds of crime (dealing) and not charged (in earlier article linked above). WTF? That is tantamount to sanctioning the activity.

From the above courier mail article...

the priest told the crowd Peter had “died the victim of an evil, brutal, sinful … act”.

I wonder if anyone from this family has dual citizenship so we could deport them back to Albania?

THE unsolved murder of Peter Milos has opened a Pandora’s box of the drug underworld, linking his family to corrupt union figures, builders, bikies, Vietnamese heroin dealers and Albanian mafia.

One of many leads yet to be ruled out is a rumoured dispute involving the Bandidos, based on accounts of a senior bikie putting a gun in the face of a close associate of the Milos brothers.

Despite facing weapons and drug charges at the time of his death, he is suspected of being no more than a low-level player in the drug scene.

James Thomas Howell remanded in custody, charged w murdering chef Peter Milos. Lawyer says "he's shocked" by arrest @9NewsBrisbane

They say Howell, who lives less than 2km away, gave police an alibi early on in the investigation.

But investigators claim that collapsed under the weight of CCTV and forensic evidence that linked him to the scene of the murder.

Acting Homicide Super*intendent Damien Hansen refused to comment on a motive but said police believed the killer acted alone.

CCTV = Criminals worst friend :)

CCTV = Law Enforcements best friend :)

Over & over we see what a major role these cams play in criminal activity!!

It's VERY hard for me to see "member of heroin dealing family murdered" and not think "one down..."

Think of me what you will for it, I'm being honest.

I'm glad they caught his killer, however.

And YES, it'd be lovely if we could just deport the lot of them.

RESTAURATEUR Peter Milos was bludgeoned to death with a spirit level and a hammer by a friend who minutes later walked into KFC, police will allege

James Thomas Howell is accused of delivering 13 blows to the head of Milos and leaving the crime scene with a green bag stained with the victim’s blood.

The Courier-Mail can reveal the case against Howell hinges on the bag, the text message and CCTV footage placing him near the crime scene shortly before and after Milos’ suspected time of death

From October 2015:

James Thomas Howell, an associate of Mr Milos, was on Wednesday committed to stand trial in the Queensland Supreme Court over the 2014 murder.

Mr Howell's committal hearing heard Mr Milos' blood contained levels of methylamphetamine (ice), ecstasy and diazepam (valium)...

Dr Storey said there was also evidence the 26-year-old restaurateur had consumed MDMA (ecstasy) and diazepam prior to his death, but it was unclear when.

But no heroin. And no word on motive.
