That really does not sound like a high infanticide rate.
Not saying what this women did was ok.. Just saying that compared to the US 4 in 2 years seems like a very few.

The women claims she does not recall what happened to the baby and the father says he did not even know his wife was pregnant..

Are we suppose to believe that this guy never noticed a baby in his freezer in 8 months???

Indeed it doesn't, 4 infanticides on a population of nearly 80,000,000 is remarkably low and quite surprising considering that France has a relatively high murder rate, at least when compared with the UK. It's not nearly as high as the US or even Canada though.

As for not noticing a baby in the freezer I guess it's possible if it's one of those families where the husband never does any cooking and therefore is unlikely to know the contents of the freezer. Heck half the stuff at the bottom of my freezer is a complete mystery to me.

There have been many more infanticides in France; these 4 are just where they were found in freezers. In one of these cases alone 6 newborns were found and the woman in Korea had two in the freezer and another one back in France.
Just a couple of weeks ago another newborn was thrown from the eighth floor of a building in Marseille.
Specialists have stated that the number of infanticides in France each year is between 60 and 80, not all newborns.

Seriously??

Actually I was thinking this was just the freezer attached to the fridge not a separate freezer... Either way I can't imagine not knowing whats in there.
