NEW Can you match these UID tattoos to tattoos of the missing?

I would like to add one, if you don't mind.

1975. Female (20-30) Los Angeles County, California.
tattoo: left wrist -"Huera" tattoo: left inner forearm "Patty"

Distinguishing Characteristics: Black hair. Left little finger amputated; large dragon and samurai warrior tattoo on back; tattoo of mountains on back of left thigh.

Oddly enough this sounds like a Yakuza. Saw on namus that he was wearing white and blue floral print pajamas with a Korean label. Wish they gave more info on this case. A Yakuza execution in the US is pretty rare. In 79 when this guy found you did have a very few Yakuza operating in California and Hawaii but I mean very few.. In 85 LE thought that under 100 actual Yakuza members working in the US. So this guy could be out of Hawaii also.

The tattoos would also tell us a lot.. Say the dragons colors have different meanings. Normally a dragon tattoo is more peaceful like a protector or benefactor. A black dragon is aged wisdom etc. Samurai is representative of Bushido. Loyalty, honor and so on while the finger amputation normally means some disciplinary action taken against him. If it just the tip that one action against him. If he missing the whole finger then he had more transgressions and been disciplined more than once. Most of these guys in the US at the time were low level. Scouts if you will looking for opportunity. This guys tattoos sounds like he had been around the block once though.. He most likely was in the US legally so there should have been a visa trace at the least and maybe from Hawaii. This is a case that everyone who knew him maybe dead themselves at this point and he just another forgotten street story.... But what an interesting story it may have been.

Just to add, Tattoos in these years still had a heavy stigma in Japanese culture so between it all I highly doubt this guy a wannabe

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but does anyone know what do the letters "BYS" and "B.V.G." stand for?

I have noticed two separate cases of unidentified persons with these letters tattooed on their arms and I would like to know what the two men have in common.

http://doenetwork.org/cases/622umga.html
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2129umin.html

The photos of the tattoos are the same for both cases which cannot be right, but I checked another source and the discription of the tattoos is correct.

Only thing I can come up with off the top of my head I doubt would fit either of these cases. For gangs sometimes the Crenshaw Mafia went by BVG (BottomsVille Gangstas) This was normally pretty specific to the Compton area though.

A tattoo associated with Berlin perhaps?

Surprised they don't use one of the tat pics as he profile. So dumb.

Have some cases of tattoos of victims on this page. Maybe they have been mentioned in this thread or not.

It says page can't be found

I’m surprised as well, seems his tattoos are pretty specific considering a lot are common tats on some of the missing. That Spanish saying seems it would make it easier but I’ve found nothing as of yet [emoji20]
