okay, I am really emotional right now and my mind is racing. A few pages back, someone referenced a comment made on a news site? maybe? Which read, "Just think how many more bodies will be discovered before summer." (paraphrased)

This person never posted again.

Anyone remember that?

8 victims on one 16 miles long road.

I am praying for Shannons Family and whomever the other victims familys will turn out to be.

I hope they search the whole highway now as I would hate to hear in a few months they are back there finding more womem.
 
How desperately tragic and horrifying. Maybe one of these is Shannan? What an emotional roller-coaster for her family! Hopefully this time they were notified by officials before it hit the news.
 
I am so heartsick over this news. We had discussed the possibility of another burial ground but who would have thought that others would be found right there?!

My prayers and thoughts are with the families wilth missing loved ones right now. The waiting must be pure hell for them at this time.

Yeah but I don't remember the original source. I'm sure we can find it if we look back. I wouldn't think too much of it though, the police have been saying since winter that they would resume their search of the area in the spring. When people think about serial killers like this, they think "high body count" (like with Ridgeway and Rifkin). Granted, it was a horrible comment to post but the internet is filled with horrible people who do not filter their thoughts before putting them out there for the world to see.

Add: Also, right after the first four women were found, there was a ton of trolling going on on local news boards (like Babylon patch) where people were saying horrible things that I will not repeat here. Tragedy brings out all the sickos.

My mind is racing now too, WM... I didn't expect all of this to happen. I re-read the post on Shannan's FB prayer page about 5 times before it sunk in that they meant 3 NEW bodies were JUST discovered today.
 
This is just horrible. The killer has to be either worried or beside himself with excitement about this. I hope they find some evidence to speed up an arrest. They will get this guy....

...or maybe an innocent passer-by noticed burlap or bones last summer and thought it was animal remains at the time. After they heard news of human remains found there, they recalled it and called LE.

I thought FIVE was a high body count. I feel the comment was just speculation but still very creepy.

Yes I seen it on Topix. I noted it but I not sure if I can give out the nick and I looking to find it again. it was after the first four.

Those 3 other bodies were found up island in Manorville.

"The findings are eerily similar to those found in the Manorville area of the Pine Barrens back in 2003 just off of Halsey Manor Road in Manorville. Three bodies have been found along this stretch of road. One, a decapitated torso, was identified as Jessica Taylor, a prostitute from Washington State. Her killer has never been found.
Three other bodies—two intact males and one dismembered female, all still unidentified—were found in the same area between 2000 and 2003. Police won’t say if these cases are related to each other, let alone related to the bodies found on Ocean Parkway."

Thanks. I missed that. So there were 4 bodies found in Manorville. How far away is that? The females both mutilated, not the men. It is typical sociopathic behavior to hate women & show more respect to men.

Could it be the same SK who moved on when his other burial ground was discovered? Could he have started off with homeless men or transients but found that petite escorts were easier targets?
