Even though we see many of these cases here at WS, I still find it hard to believe a man would kill the Mother of his children :sick:Now investigators are trying to learn more about what happened after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1. According to Lt. James, Clay Waller says Jacque walked off after a fight that night. But they believe there's more to the story.
Jacque Waller reportedly came to the residence Clay was staying in at the time of the separation, during the afternoon on the first. We now know she was there to pick up her son, but the child wasn't there. Detectives say the little boy was with a babysitter.
Detectives say that may have been what sparked a fight.
"We know she made a phone call to her family in Ste. Genevieve at four to say she was at Clay's," said Lt. James. "From there we need to know more."
The phone call, and meeting with Clay Waller are the last two times anyone saw or heard from Jacque Waller. Now one in the neighborhood near Woodlawn in Jackson reported seeing her. Her purse and phone have not been found.
Heartland News also learned Clay Waller no longer lives at the residence on Woodlawn. He is a former Sheriff's Deputy of Cape County, and also served with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety in the 90's.
