The Tucson paper says on google search that Gabrielle was shot point blank in the head. It will not open for me. I'll keep trying. Meanwhile.....
At least 3 people have been shot at a Congress on Your Corner event held by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Saturday morning.
It happened just after 10 a.m. at the Safeway on Ina and Oracle, Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ogan said.

First thought was drug cartel hit. If they managed to tackle him then perhaps just a random crazy, unless the cartel wanted the guy to get caught.
This story cannot be ignored by the MSM even if it is about hot political issues...<modsnip> which will make it difficult to sweep under the rug.

Other news agencies reported up to 11 other people had been injured after an unidentified gunman ran up and began shooting indiscriminately as Giffords addressed supporters.
Giffords was shot point blank in the head, according to Fox News.

I almost started a thread. This is crazy. Doesn't sound good for the Congresswoman and some of her staff. DH was coming home and her office here in town is blocked off and guarded. Number keep changing.
NPR, saying she has passed away, and 6 others.
How sad.
