everyone wants to know what really went down. I can see the entire Houston family trying to silence BC...either that or they will all run to do a book...

I want BC to tell her story.

it would be good for her too...it could help her discover herself underneath all those years of insanity...

That is a good suggestion for Bobbi Kristina. She would make a mint! I don't know if she is old enough to have the patience/discipline for such a thing, nor do I think she was taught those traits. It would be very healing to get some of the pent up anger, depression, feelings of constantly being let down worked through.

you know , what little I have seen of BC, I see an only child with wisdom beyond her years. My guess is she is very bright.

In the last thread one of the articles said that she might go to rehab in California. I'm sure they have incredible places to receive treatment there, but I wish she could stay closer to home so her family could visit her.

Now with Bobbi Kristina, they fear the same thing is happening again and they won’t be able to stop it either. Bobbi Kristina is all Ms. Cissy has left of Whitney. She’s so tired, but she’s ready to fight again to save her grandbaby.”

Those close to the family say they expect Bobbi Kristina to be flown to a California rehab facility as soon as burial services are over.

I agree she needs family near for a while. Don't know if she went to rehab or if she did for how long, but I hope she is close with Cissy, Dionne, and anyone else trying to help her. Sounds like that is all she really has.

Yeah, being bright is not in question. She has had to survive all this time all on her own, and she has traveled everywhere with her mom and seen more than we can begin to imagine.

Re the discussion of why Aretha Franklin didn't go to the funeral and a possible rift between her and Whitney: Years ago she had her own battle with addiction, to heroin, I believe, and I wonder if that is why she put space between herself and Whitney while Whitney was alive. Because Whitney's struggle was all too familiar to her? I wonder if Whitney's death would have brought up bad memories from her past? The explanation that she had a show to do and she is older now and not in the best of health herself could be why she didn't go to the funeral, though.

Well according to Radar online Bobbi Kristina did not know abotu the situation with hert dad at the funeral

Bobbi Kristina Brown sat in the front pew for her mother Whitney Houston's funeral, and fortunately wasn't aware of the controversy involving where her father Bobby Brown and his entourage would be seated.
The teenager, who was twice hospitalized in the 24 hours following her mother's sudden death February 11, was comforted by her grandmother during the service.
In an interview with CNN, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was on stage throughout the service, revealed that neither Bobbi Kristina or Cissy Houston saw the unfortunate incident going on two rows behind them.

So Bobbi Brown stating that Bobbi Kristina was upset over what had happened to him during the funeral must be incorrect. Like I said earlier, I believe he is trying to keep stirring the pot. And I believe that he is trying to get in Bobbi Kristina's good graces so that he can get his hands on the money.

for some reason I think there is bad blood between Aretha and Dionne...I seem to remember an interview some years ago where she said she was a better singer than Aretha and never got the R E S P E C T...she felt she desereved...

I was suprised to dicover they were related.

I am not trying to be harsh to a grieving family,and I hate that Whitney could not hang on to her sobriety and be happy. I hate it even worse that her child has fallen into the lifestyle of drug addiction.
But having said that.... I work for a physician who is an addiction specialist, and some cold hard truth needs to be said.

The entire family needs treatment. There is a lot of co-dependency going on, and BC needs to save herself and not worry about anyone else at the moment. She can't change anyone but herself. The same goes for everyone else in the family. If they were capable of curing addiction....it would've happened with Whitney. They all need to take a good look at the way things have been, get help, and make changes if BC is going to live. She won't make it either if her family continues down the same path of enabling her addiction. Going to rehab is just the start of regaining a sober lifestyle, and it won't do any good if the family falls right back into the same trap. BC is in a very precarious situation, and she seems to be very fragile. Rehab cannot address everything. The family has much work to do, as well as BC, so that she can have a future.
BTW...Dionne Warwick has a drug arrest in her past as well. She may or may not have changed her ways, but clearly she did have an issue at one point. There is obviously a family history of drug abuse that has to be overcome.

Did he mention BK specifically?

I think some that came with him were his other children.

Kinda off topic. When Dionne was on "Celebrity Apprentice" last go round I lost some respect for her. She was a DIVA with an attitude at times.

O/T, I remember from many yrs ago when Dionne got into it with another singer by the name of Leslie Uggams-heck of life was raised all over the place at Warner Bros. studios-bottom line it was all for Dionne and nada for Leslie-or else-this was way back in the early 70's. Such High Drama back then too-lol. It does seem that not too long ago she was caught hiding her stash in an empty lipstick tube while in flight. It is too bad it seems the family whether directly related or not has such issues with drugs. Many people would give their eye teeth to have such talent:seeya:, but true, the business is very hard and if one doesn't get hard with it, it'll suck ya right down-and nobody cares, that's the big shame.

I think the Warwick/Uggams "feud" may have been a tabloid invention or at worst a brief episode. A simple internet search shows Warwick producing recordings by Uggams as early as 1972 and as recently as 2009.

Just two weeks ago the two women appeared together at a luncheon commemorating Black History Month for the Museum of the City of New York.

I lost all respect for Dionne when she started those obnoxious nonstop commercials for the 'psychic network". Imagine peddling a useless product that cost a few dollars a minute and contains no useful information and can even be misleading and harmful. Why prey on those who are searching for answers, trying to find out about a deceased loved one etc? She made millions from it and lost all credibility by doing so. Many people were downright scammed by these "psychics and taken for thousands of dollars.

Warwick and Aretha have had different backgrounds and career tracks in their lives. Watwick has even dabbled in opera and formal music composition - she is an accomplished pianist, for one thing.

They are very different people.

Personally, Ive always thought Warwick was vastly over rated ... but my wife loved her
music! I would come home, my wife would have a Warwick record on ... I would head for the
garage! Funny. I dont think Warwick ever had the natural talents of an Aretha ... or
even remotely close to Whitney! But Warwick has worked her tail off to build a musical
life, which a lot of people (especially in academia) respect. Each to his own -

bobby brown was talking about his OTHER daughter being devastated that they were mistreated and had to leave. as i have said more than once, and the link has been posted many times, bobbi kristina had no idea there was an issue...nor did most anyone else. iow, this was blown up by the houston family, not bobby brown.

why this constant insistence that bobby brown is such a demon? geesh.

he arrived with bobbi k's half-siblings. one of them is (and i think this is the correct name) laprincia. SHE was devastated. she had a relationship with whitney, has a relationship with bobbi k, and wanted to be there.
