Hello all.......learning my way around the site and am wondering if there is any information about the woman that sits behind the defense table? The woman that has been coming up to Jodi and the two of them wispering during sidebars and breaks. Maybe nothing but it has given me a bad feeling especially since the ribbon incident and the person who was made to leave the courtroom. Love this site by the way!!!

:welcome4:

That is Arias' mitigation specialist.

Mods - can Wildabouttrial be added to the Twitter and broadcast links? They had some funny tweets last week

And another thing that has been driving me crazy. She was living in N California and working at some seasonal restaurant < always a restaurant,.....And she just up and quits her job and moves to Mesa AFTER they break up? She told Flores it was because "plans were ALREADY in the works", and she was moving in with a friend. PLEASE. There were no plans. The girl she moved in with kicked her OUT after a week or so. She had NO where to live, NO job. She moved there because and only because she was OBSESSED with TA and she could watch/stalk his every move.

I think Samuels thought he would skate on his charm and projection of authority. He never expected to be asked for raw data, because as Wilmot said, what do attorneys know about raw data. The DT did not expect this, I'm thinking. Ha!

lol, that raw data statement blew up on him, eh? That raw data can get tricky, especially when you have to:

  • score it
  • lose access to it
  • re-do it
  • rescore it
  • pass it off as defendent's in a court of law
  • get caught in a lie
  • etc. cause JM isn't even done with this issue yet
Oh My, yes there is a very good reason to not give attorney's raw data, the problem is they can analyze it too well....:floorlaugh:

I just had the TV on NG Mysteries and my boyfriend came in the room and said, "That blue light makes her look like a witch." I said, "well, it's not really the light..."

Happy Sunday, peeps. Looking forward to court tomorrow!

And so she moves to a lcation close to him in Mesa, he 'freaks' about that, so she moves even closer. I found it interesting that during the interview with Det. Flores, she talked about how it only took about 5 min. to get to his house, then on the stand, she really tried to exaggerate that out to 10-15 mins (or something like that) depending on traffic. Bah.

Have any of the police interrogations in their entirety of Jodi been released yet?

"I just hope the jury can see beyond all the sex, lies and audiotapes. We all know this <mod snip> planned this entire murder. She was obsessed by TA. She wanted everything he had. She wanted to be his wife, and live his life. If she couldn't have him she was going to make damn sure nobody else had him." *from last thread*

I still don't believe her primary motive was the Cancun thing; it was that she had no control over him once she moved back to Yreka.

From the last thread, by elementary

You may try to diminish the crime and call it "standard" compared to a handful of others. It is heinous. Appalling. Shocking. Cruel. It has nothing to do with religion or pix of private parts. Travis Alexander's murder is revolting and calculatedly sadistic.

I completely agree. I have followed many many murder cases in my life and this one is probably the most heinous I have ever encountered. I don't think it has anything to do with the sex or salaciousness. It was a horrific murder of a good man, by a crazy woman, and he didn't deserve to die. Especially not like that.

She is one sick woman and I think we all just want to see her put away, and see justice for Travis Alexander.

I know JVM has them but I don't know that they have been released to the public. I would definitely like to see them.

Not yet, they are teasing us with some new clips lately (headstand, trash picking, etc. Maybe more during rebuttal?

I agree. I do think Cancun was salt in an already gaping wound but I don't believe that, solely in and of itself, was ever motive for his murder.

I don't believe it's a coincidence that this is an intimate partner homicide and many, many times such a homicide occurs when the victim is leaving the relationship. Or soon thereafter.

Right. And how does he remember the interviews from that long ago to rescore them? That was a big red flag for me. The fact that he decided to "rescore" them right before trial makes it very questionable.

Whew, what a last 24 hours on the threads! I did a quick scan and saw no TOs for anyone...carefull out there folks as I can attest to from the FCA trial it is just awful to get sucked in to <self snip>s and then YOU get a TO and cannot post! :grouphug:

Also for those that like to do live chat during testimony, come into our chatroom with WSers during testimony! Not sure where the link is and how to do as I joined it during FCA trial, but you can do through java or mIRC (and mIRC has those fun trouts...inside joke!) Directions for chat are somewhere here, but on nook now and cannot find post to share, perhaps someone else knows off the top of their head and can locate quicly directions.

This is from the trial of Mark Jensen who was accused of poisoning his wife with antifreeze and suffocating her. This witness had testified on direct that in his opinion the wife was suicidal.

[Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Scott] Denton wrote the report in 2004 and now he has reconsidered because there were 2 additional witnesses in the 2007 hearing.

Denton is now being forced to admit that the defense did not give him a lot of the information that has come into testimony.
<modsnip>

I think the text he sent on the 26th (?) put her over the edge. He was on to her. He was done with her, for good this time, and she couldn't accept that. She had to get rid of him because she could no longer control him. She wanted to hurt him and be the one to take him out of this world because then she would forever have that connection with him, forever have control.

... and the tragedy is we are soon going to have to listen to a DV advocate spin this fact right around on its ear. Shame on her!
