It is noted that although this document was dated 4/18/08 - It was never signed and executed. It was later revealed in affidavits submitted by friends of the victim, Nancy Cooper, that the divorce proceeding was put on hold as it interfered with Nancy's submission for a U.S. green card, which was being processed through Brad Cooper's employer, Cisco Systems. Continuance of the divorce action, could have jeopradized Nancy's ability to obtain legal U.S. residency status.
