Good thinking Vicki. Did he go in at night? That seems like he would have. Didn't he know the neighbors were away?

He could be a straight up burglar but the stuff he takes seems more like hoarding to me. That is what led me down that path. He took the gun and stowed it. I don't even know if it could be used for shooting..and didn't he have it in a storage area. All the stuff from the neighbors was buried in a closet. It seems odd. He grabbed a soda from a store and just started drinking it with total disregard. Most thieves would hide it, no? With so much addiction going on around there, it is dfficult to label anyone. He just seems to have sticky fingers and not even for stuff he actually needs.

I know a young guy like that. He actually stole numerous boxes of venetian blinds & had them stacked up all around an extra bedroom. His mother knew & even tried to offer me a few. No thanks. & no, it wouldn't have done a bit of good to report him. The cops here would've just gotten mad about being bothered. About this same time, a nurse who was working nights for an invalid neighbor, called the cops because this guy had knocked on the door & exposed himself, when she answered. When the cops arrived, they found him with a stolen phone & saw where he had been sending nude pics to minor boys. He's 21. His excuse? He thought he heard the nurse tell him she wanted to see him exposed, & he was just playing around on the phone. He gave the phone back, & the cops escorted him across the street to his house. That's it. He was already on probation & should've been locked up, but the cops here don't like paper work. & no, I don't think I'm being too hard on these guys. They're lazy, plain & simple.

I do too. I've noticed that a lot of burglar type people are sexual deviants. For some reason, they go hand in hand. I guess they know no boundaries. I've often heard victim's of home burglaries say they feel 'violated', so it goes to reason, that someone who would have no problem violating another person's home, would have no problem violating another person's body. They both involve sneakiness, & just taking 'what you want', & also, an abuse of control. I think Tommy has been leading a double life & is probably a bigger liar than Misty. My uncle, who years ago, got arrested for being a peeping Tom, reminds me a lot of Tommy.

I believe her too, I just doubt she hates him for it. These people just don't understand normal boundaries and respect. They never learned them. The parents are like teen drug buddies and I think all the lines are blurred in familial (and non-familial) relationships for them all, which contributes to inappropriate behavior such as incest. They lack alot more than book learnin', unfortunately.
Like her parents allowing her to hook up with and live with an older guy. They probably were just fine with it. One less mouth to feed and heck, he was probably a good pill connection for the family too.

Just saw this Bessie, I apologize, no nothing ever mentioned about the front door being taken, nothing mentioned at all about the front door, except that Tommy went over there and banged on it pretty hard at around 9:45 pm or 10:00 that night. Wonder if he went around to the back door? Was it propped open at that time? Might add to the time line ya know, Hopefully(surely) LE asked him this. If Misty wasn't home like he said would the brick story stand to reason?

I wonder about this myself. I'm not sure if she hates him or not- sometimes she seems to miss him and is always telling her family to pass I Love You's for her and the like. Other times, like when she wants to discuss her favorite subject- HERSELF- and someone mentions Tommy, she gets annoyed. And then there's her implications of him in the crimes. If they are the truth, great! Just what we've been waiting for- Misty to start coming out with the truth. If not, yet another example of Misty trying to get the wrong kind of attention away from herself.

As far as messing with her when they were younger- I'm still out on this one. I can't say because a person is one type of criminal, that means he could easily be another type as well. While I don't totally discount it, I think Misty is well aware of what kinds of stories will get the best results in a given situation.

I think the staging would still stand to reason. If she was out, and Haleigh OD and she found her when she got back, she could have staged the MH to keep from saying she wasn't home. If there were drugs in the home and no one was with those kids, I don't think anyone would fess up.

Thanks for this post. Gives another perspective on the family dynamics and the incest angle. I can why it would happen with your explanation. Although I don't agree that Misty is okay with it. I think it does bother her.

A couple of days ago, I stated that I hadn't made up my mind about this. Now, I have decided that I don't believe her. Misty is beginning to sound more like Casey Anthony, as Casey also accused her brother and dad of molesting her. Misty is probably trying to use the abuse excuse to gain pity. With more information, I could be persuaded that she was abused , but not at this point. Has she ever said one thing that can be documented as being truthful? I can't think of one.
