What does AWN mean? Order to transport Hank Croslin: AWN ????

IMO, AWN are the judges initials as other's have said. What I find odd is that his hearing was on 07/20/10 AT 11:00, why did the judge order for Tommy (Hank Jr.) to be transported on 07/21/2010? :waitasec:

It does not show he was transported on 07/20/10 so it can't be that he is being transported back to jail from his hearing. Unless the hearing was continued for the following day? Still nothing from the media either...I did email a few and they are usually pretty good about getting back to me, but for some reason this time they have not.

The entry dated 7/21 doesn't necessarily mean the judge ordered Hank to be transported on that date or even signed the order on that date, it is the date the entry was submitted into the court docket system.

7/21 is only the day it was added to the docket.. not the day that Tommy was actually ordered to be transported. As we've all noticed, things don't get updated on the docket right away...

There still is no Disposition Date posted. Since it is showing "FAMILY COURT MINUTES ON 07/20/2010" wouldn't that mean that there was a hearing? I would assume so. To bad they didn't specifie the outcome. Looking at other cases it shows that a REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION OF GENERAL MAGISTRATE would follow about a month later, then a FINAL JUDGMENT OF DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE and then a CERTIFICATE SENT TO VITAL STATISTICS ON DIVORCE would take place. This is looking at the course of how other DISSOLUTION cases are.

What this looks like to me is, Hank didn't show up at the hearing because no one knew to transport him and either he forgot or didn't really want the hearing to happen. He was served notice while in St. Johns, and now is in Putnam. So, now an order to transport has been issued for the hearing to happen on the 30th. (All JMO)

The divorce isn't final yet.

The "Certificate of Completion" is only showing that one of the parties (probably Lindsy) completed the course that is required by FL law of any party going through either a divorce or a custody case where children are involved. It is a conflict resolution class that helps teach the parties to "co-parent". It's a 4 hour class and it is mandatory before the divorce will be granted. I don't know how that will be handled in Tommy's case since he is jail.



From the FL Statutes:

(4) All parties to a dissolution of marriage proceeding with minor children or a paternity action that involves issues of parental responsibility shall be required to complete the Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course prior to the entry by the court of a final judgment. The court may excuse a party from attending the parenting course, or from completing the course within the required time, for good cause.

She might be able to get state assistance because of her children not getting child support... not based on what she makes, but the father being in jail with zero income and unable to support them. They base the amount of assistance on the number of children, not on the mom's income. The state will take up the slack because they can't go after Tommy while he's incarcerated.

If she has a good income, the state cares zip if he is able to pay CS or not. If she makes too much to collect assistance - she collects nothing.

My ex and I divorced he stopped paying CS completely after a few years and I had 3 kids to house, clothe and feed. I had a case with the DA (auto deposit while he worked for the government) and begged them to go after him, they did - 1 time in 17 years (kids were 1, 8 & 11 at time of split) Their reasoning was you get nothing out of him if he (1) - loses his drivers license so doesn't work or (2) is jailed for not paying.

I got nothing for years - had they gone after him early on, he would have been a lot more likely to pay - anything, when I finally had them close out, I got a call asking why I would do that when he owed so much money - yeah they were helpful, not!

Lyndsy did complete school and has passed her LPN board exam.
No one will hire her, due to her relationship to this family.

Does she have an LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse? or CNA - Certified Nursing Asst? $16.00/hr is extremely low for a licensed nurse, part time or full time. She could easily make 3 - 5 times that much working thru a registry or on call.

With someone looking at the possibility of YEARS of incarceration - isn't the "mandatory class" a moot point, at least until he is due for parole or release. A divorce can be granted when one of the parties fails to show, but not if one fails to take the co-parenting class - great way for a controlling spouse (or their attorney) to "put the divorce on hold".

Thank you! I asked because I have seen both jobs mentioned on this thread most said LVN - (sorry I should have looked it up).

I'm in CA, also true in MA - IDK what an LVN makes in FL but I know aides in CA who make $15.00 an hour. You're probably right, LVN's here make about double ($26 - $30/hr)

The registries here pay very well. Of course with 3 little kids it's hard to work on call.
