If the defense filed a motion, because of her fall, requesting that the prisoner be transported without shackles, is there any chance of the court or the jail officials granting that motion?

It would depend on the jails policy. The court really wouldn't have any jurisdiction over the jail policy imo.

Ya know...all of this stuff about "tips" is making me kind of kooky. Didn't JB and the As have an expert PI? Didn't they have access to oodles of information...including the "tip" that Caylee was in Georgia? We've heard RK's calls...am I missing something?

He was not worried about the tips anyway. He knew she was dead. Why pay for something you do not need.

Apparently, according to Caylee Daily, Casey fell and chipped a tooth and busted her lip. Just wanted to update everyone on what minor injuries she had.

Casey has zero chance of any special treatment, real or imagined.

I'm really not buying "the fall"...she would have had at least one escort, possibly two and the escorts usually support the prisoner on either side when they're walking to prevent them from falling. Now maybe she stumbled and twisted her little ankle but I just can't see her taking a nose dive. jmo

Sorry if this has already been posted
Could George not being there today be because he went with Casey to the ER for her injury during transport to the court house?
They wouldn't allow George to actually go with Casey, as she is still an inmate in custody, but I was wondering along the same lines- if he wasn't there because he was waiting to get word on her condition, and to show his support and concern to her, any way he could.

I know if my daughter fell on her face with no way to block her fall, I would be worried sick about her. That must have really hurt. (I'm just sayin').

Slightly off topic from this thread (but, not really, as her fall happened while she was on the way to this hearing that the thread is about)... I am wondering if she has grounds for a lawsuit? (Let me make it clear- I'm not hoping she does, I'm just wondering if she does).

They could try, but I doubt this would merit any change in the way she is transported (shackled vs. non-shackled). The fall sounds like an accidental one-time thing and not a documented medical or physical issue which precludes the wearing of shackles and walking. I have seen at least two inmates who were transported by wheelchair while wearing their shackles, but they had a documented medical need for such. HTH! :)
