I think the defense has a method of complaining, arguing and not taking no for an answer as a way to wear down the judge I can see the judge starting off strong with his denials and being very sure, then I can see him slowly becoming deflated and drifting to their side because the defense keeps going at him over and over the same statements made.

It is a good strategy when no other exist.

UKLaw - you were asking if Shaw was one of the Defense experts. No he is the FBI expert who is (apparently) in charge of the Hair Banding Research team. The person D. Simms was demanding turn over research notes to her. Definitely not a DT expert....

If that person really worked for/with TES, it won't do the organization any good...even if unfairly.
 
ICA seems to stand around after court has been dismissed, collecting papers, pushing the pen cap, patting the attorney on the arm. She needs to be removed immediately by the deputies upon court being dismissed.

No pretense she is a clerk, an attorney, a free citizens. Watched many many trials and have never seen a defendant linger after court. Come deputies remind her she is 'in custody'. Don't allow her to pretend for one minute she is a free person.
 
Do my eyes deceive me or does it appear that the scrappy female deputy watching Casey like a hawk doesn't appear to be "a fan" of the great KC? When she was escorting her out she looked pizzed that Miss A was acting like a free person who had all the time in the world to clean up, listen to the attorneys talk and chat with people. I was like, "Grab the perp by the elbow and escort her out! Show her she's nothing but a perp!"

I have to say it really pizzes me off that this person chose to give an interview after being told yesterday...DO NOT SPEAK to anyone.

Yes they were dismissed but the fact that they gave an interview and seemed willing to speak for the room at large makes you wonder......WTH is wrong with people these days.

Of course....just watching her....she's shall I say.....not media shy??

We'll see her end up on Nancy Grace as a talking head B4 you know it.

The media always picks the ummmmmmmmm unusual people to interview don't they??

I won't post her pic. Won't give her more publicity.

I'm gonna hold off on my thwart cake until Friday morning, after this latest lame attempt at delay/continuance/stall/drive the judge insane tactic is thwarted.

I was thinking about that all day yesterday and the day before! Remember how cocky he was when HHJP was assigned to the case? How pleased he pretended to be? Better be careful what ya' wish for there, JB. Now he has a judge who is so experienced and so skilled. HHJP is one of the finest, intelligent and unflappable judges I have ever seen. He is a class act and his rulings are likely to stick and stick well. To watch this judge in action is a gift. He's fantastic.

He also has a history of knowing exactly what type of person casey is and knows how to make sure she does not escape justice. He was a DA when he tried a Florida black widow whose name escapes me at the moment. The woman killed a couple of husbands and then her son.

Decades later, he made sure to be there and watch the witch be put to death. That tells you how this judge feels about murderers like casey. So, he will make sure she faces justice in a manner that cannot be undone. They made a huge mistake in asking for Strickland's recusal, IMO.

Sorry but they are not there to punish her. She has not been convicted. As hard as it may be in a case like this she is entitled to a presumption of innocence. She has lost her liberty merely because of the Charge she is facing and not because she is guilty.

There seems to be little reason why she cannot speak to her Attorneys after Court.

She does not need to be dragged out of court at the first opportunity and treated in a demeaning manner, especially prior to conviction.

The deputy of course was in full control, why she let her linger like that I'll never know. She just stood behind her letting ICA do her own thing.......after all, ICA is an inmate!
 
IMOO - His Honor is on a mission to get this trial started and, while unfortunate, this delay in jury selection will not "thwart" his objective. I believe the trial will start within a couple of days of the Judge's original time schedule. I have complete faith in HHJP.

The women was Judy Bueonois (sp?).

CJBP attended the execution.
