We now get character references to avoid a capital murder trial? It's one thing to have them in sentencing, but now we're getting a whole trial predicated on character references? Noooooooo.....FEB 16, 2024

We had a recent case (Sydney Powell, who murdered her mother Brenda Powell) where the family didn't want SP tried at all because "Brenda wouldn't have wanted it, and the family has been through enough" and "she must have been insane at the time, because she would never have done something like that". The family wanted probation only. That was one crazy trial (Sydney was presented looking insane , and defense demanded the prosecution's therapy dog be seated with the defendant throughout the trial, yeah, right...), and she was convicted, malingered "insanity".
And then there are the Suitcase Sarah letters to the judge....
But I've never seen anything like this. Anyone?
