My mind often goes back to early on, when Jose and Casey asked the court if they could go out looking alone, without being encumbered by pesky jail officials. Remember that? That is when I think Jose found out. I wonder what they wanted to do on that little unescorted field trip. Of course, the request was rejected.

Since Casey now says whan Caylee died, it seems like there should be a case against Casey for Abuse of corpse.

Maybe. But her defense claimed that GA was the one who dumped the body, not Casey.

Only the personal representative of the deceased can file a wrongful death suit. In this case, that would be Casey since she was found not guilty.

What if the story LP told about the jail guards listening in on the phone conversation between CA and JB was really true.

That could mean that RK really was sent to the lot using clues he got through his girlfriend, who got the info from the guards. The truth of the matter could be exposed through depositions or one of the guards taking a plea deal. The date of the phone call is on record. That would mean that as of that date JB knew that Caylee was dead and where she was dumped. If after that call JB continued with the charade about the 'missing' Caylee I imagine he could be charged with Obstruction Of Justice, Concealing A Body and all sorts of things.

I also wonder if someone could make a complaint to the local Bar about his unethical tactics during the trial, like slandering witnesses while knowing all along he didn't have one shred of evidence to back up his allegations.

If the story about the guards is true then RK is an idiot for filing this suit, due to the potential for criminal charges. Even if anyone did listen in I doubt anyone would come forward. Even if they feel guilty I think the hatred of KC would keep them quiet. Also, I don't think that would matter. I believe this suit is for what JB said about him.

Shouldn't he be suing LP, not Casey? Casey didn't ask him to search there.

Maybe, but I really don't care how many frivolous suits are aimed at her.

He can't. The father of a child born out of wedlock can only file a suit if he was financially responsible for the child.

If a child is born out of wedlock but the father is never notified that he has a child, I can't see that he wouldn't be allowed to sue- and for probably much more because the child had been kept from him. Since the Anthony's were financially responsible for Caylee shouldn't they be able to file a Wrongful Death suit?

Interesting - I was looking through some old threads and discovered that LP said a friend from NY convinced him to get involved in this case, yet he says he's going to sue Baez because Baez lied to him to bring him into the case. I think all of LP's conflicting stories (ie. lies) are going to work against him in his suit. Assuming that he actually files and that it's not typical LP BS.

We don't know if the father was notified or not, so far the father has not put in an appearance.

George and Cindy can not sue. The law says blood relatives (aside from parents) can not sue unless they depended on the deceased for support.
