Are there other victims?

Actually it was an assumption on my part that he was talking about the girls.
Linask asked which 2 souls he meant to get clarification and he helped out and clarified. then I got sick.
He clarified it very clearly that he was stalking about the Garridos.
In fact after he had done that I posted that I was embarrassed to assume he meant the girls.

It was an innocent assumption, I would have never thought he'd mean the G's.
But Linask was wise enough to ask. :)

Songline, you misunderstood the clarification (As Natal has confirmed). Here is what he (which I don't know if Natal is a man or woman) wrote in that "clarification" post:

"Well, in the first sentence I referred to PG, Nancy and Jaycee, that leaves two other people, I thought it kinda obvious who they were . (Patricia too I guess, but she's allmost like a non-person in this story)."

In that sentence if Patricia is excluded, which she is, "two other people" can only mean the girls as Jaycee and the G's had already been named.

I think I have to find that link for you. I will do that later.

(2) In June 1976 (South Lake Tahoe, California), Defendant Phillip Garrido talked his 19 year old victim into his car. He then handcuffed her, kidnapped her and raped her.

I never knew of this. I knew of the 14 year old in 72, KCH in 76 and the woman he tried to kidnap an hour before KCH. But I never knew of this 19 year old victim in June of 76. I wonder what ever came of that? Was he never charged? Did they only find out about this victim recently? Maybe another one came forward? Or am I mistaken and have heard of this victim before?

I guess that accounts for the "I've done this twice before" statement he made to KCH when he kidnapped and raped her. I wonder if it was really only twice, though. Seems like if he was going to brag about doing this twice before, he would have just gone all out and said "I've done this many times before". Especially since he was most likely making the statement in order to instill fear in her, in order to ensure compliance. Is it possible that JC, KCH, the 14 y.o., the 19 y.o. and the woman that escaped are the only victims?

I have been thinking on this for several months now. I truly believe that when PG made the statement to Katie, that he had "done this twice before"", he wasn't referring to rape. I think it was much more sinister and that he had kidnapped, transported and raped two other victims in the Reno storage shed.

There are so many women that go missing every year, so many transients in the Reno area, that it is not a stretch to think he could have had two prior victims.

For a man as deranged, self seving and flighty as PG was, I can not see him having taken the time and money to set this up to use it only on this one occasion.

I ditto your last sentence for sure Sunnie! I wonder if they've checked any of the evidence that was taken into custody for that trial, with any other missing gals from around the Reno area before that?

I also read a statement by a police officer involved in investigating Jaycee Duggards disappearance in 1991. He said that PG NEVER was brought up as a suspect in regards to the kidnapping. I wonder if that was because they didn't know about PG in general, or if he was thought to still be in prison? I would think that kidnapping would have made a HUGE impact on the police force in the area and that PG would have at least been checked out!

i remember on the dateline episode, they asked a tahoe officer from katies case if he was suprised it was garrido that took jaycee and he said 'yes, i thought he was never getting out'.

I gotta say, from what I've seen paperwork-wise, I'm not real sure anyone had any idea where PG was at the time Jaycee disappeared, though they say there's more paperwork to be released once the judge reviews it. Something tells me there was a big boggle between NV and the Feds as to who was supposed to be watching Garrido during a certain time period. I dunno, but we'll see what transpires.

The following quote is from this report: http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/02/25/jaycee.dugard.garrido.response/index.html?iref=allsearch

Garrido's public defenders, Rick Meyer and Susan Gellman, said Dugard, who is identified in court papers as Jane Doe, told investigators following Garrido's arrest that he had a "self-described ability to understand the voices of angels. ... One of the children disclosed this as well, describing how the voices would keep him up at night, and how the angels lived underground and spoke to him from this location."

This really bothers me. Firstly, everyone knows that angels don't live underground, devils do. Even people that have gone nutso, usually would say this.

But beyond that, what bothers me about this statement is it makes me wonder if PG really did hear voices and talk with "angels" "under the ground". As in "angels" he previously buried? This would explain his saying the underground thing, as opposed to where people normally say angels are. This just gives me the creeps!

I don't believe that demons literally live underground, but that made me laugh nonetheless. When I read that, I was like, "Uh, Phil, if you're hearing them from underground, they probably ain't angels."

RENO, Nev.—The man charged with kidnapping Jaycee Dugard and holding her captive for 18 years has been ruled out as a suspect in two unsolved murder cases involving children in Reno, police said. Phillip Garrido was cleared after investigators looked for similarities between the cases and Garrido's alleged method of operation in the Dugard case, Reno police Lt. Mike Whan said.<snip>
The unsolved cases occurred within two years after Garrido was paroled from a Nevada prison in 1988 after serving time for the 1976 kidnapping and sexual assault of a 25-year-old woman while he lived in Reno.
One of the Reno cases involved siblings Jennifer and Charles Chia, who were kidnapped on a 100-yard walk from a bus stop to their home in 1989. The remains of Jennifer, 6, and Charles, 7, were found nine months later about 60 miles northwest of Reno.
In the other case, 7-year-old Monica DaSilva was taken from her bedroom as she slept in 1990. Her remains were found three weeks later. Investigators found it interesting that no similar child abductions had occurred in Reno since then. But they have no suspects in either cold case, Whan said. more at link: http://www.contracostatimes.com/sea...contracostatimes.com-www.contracostatimes.com

not really surprising to me.

if you'll notice, they are doing pretty much the same thing with gardner now, trying to connect him to a bunch of unnsolved murders.....

They have to in situations like that, especially when the case is cold and they have no leads.

Those poor parents. :(

I still can not believe that Garrido only used the storage shed for Katie. I also believe that he was VERY truthful that he had two previous victims. I wonder if LE has checked any other cases yet?

Has anyone ever considered that Timothy Bindner and Phillip Garrido May have known each other. I've read that Timothy Bindner liked taunting investigators and reporters. I also read that he liked hanging out at all hours of the night at the Oak View Cemetery in Antioch.
The Oak view Cemetery is about 500 yards (as the crow flies)from Phillip Garrido House.

Could Timothy Bindner been taunting investigators, reporters and Phillip Garrido by bringing investigators and reporters to the Oak View Cemetery.
