GUILTY Australia - Corey Power, 33, beaten to death, Young, NSW, 29 Aug 2013

Wow an 18 yr old... He has well and truly thrown his life away, that is sad.
I'm really glad that justice will be served. Hopefully we'll get more info once he's actually been arrested and charged!

ETA there's a couple of people on the young Witness FB page that have commented on the article suggesting that they think that there were far too many injuries for there only to have been 1 perp, those comments have a lot of likes too!
Very interesting!

What a great result! Nothing will take away the sorrow of Corey's family, but at least they can rest easier knowing that the culprit is behind bars and will soon be charged and tried for the crime (and other matters, apparently).

It will be interesting to know the motivation behind the brutal bashing. Did Corey find out about the 18-year old's other crimes and that was a threat? Did they have some stupid drunken argument about something?

If someone else was involved, I hope that they are also brought before the courts.

An interesting article about the arrest of a 22yr old in QLD over a bashing in young with an iron bar. It seems as though he was with Corey's killer in QLD. I wonder if Corey's killer was also involved in this?

An article week after they found the perp talking about a search warrant as well as accessories.

Also in the footage of him before he was bashed, I'm pretty certain he is walking in the opposite direction of where he was found, so he was walking away from the weir. So was he confronted and chased back the way he came from? I think it's no more than 200m away from where his body was found, maybe less...

This article names the accused as Owen Fuller.

His FB is still live and is quite 'interesting' he has a rant a couple of days after the murder because people about town we're naming him as a suspect... He isn't friends with the deceased (not to say he wasn't previously) but they do have a lot of friends in common.
It appears that he's been in 'juvi' before and is still friends with some of his 'juvi' mates, if you want to see the world through the eyes of thugs, have a look at the FB profiles of some of the Juvi mates, their 'language' doesn't even make sense... If you don't like swearing, then don't even do a FB search!

He sounds bored, and angry. Looks like he is going to be added to the list of 'young men who kill'.

DETECTIVES have seized a vehicle from a house in Young as part of the investigation into the murder of Corey Power.

Officers attached to Strike Force Bumble - established after Mr Power’s brutal death - executed a warrant at the premises in Blackett Avenue about 12.15pm yesterday.

A white Holden Commodore, which appeared to be hidden behind the house, was loaded onto a truck and taken from the property.

From February 2015:

Owen Junior Fuller, 19, and Nathan Blundell, 22, appeared at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday charged with his murder...

It was revealed police believed the pair plotted to bash Mr Power because he failed to give them $600 for stolen goods they had stored at his home, and he later sold.

Fuller allegedly lured Mr Power to a meeting in a park by posing as a woman on Facebook early in the hours of August 29, according to court documents.

From last week:

Both Blundell and Fuller’s brother Thomas Charles McGill – who is charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder – have made approaches to the DPP, Wagga Local Court was told this week. The nature of the representations was not revealed...

The two requests had a snowball effect on the cases of Fuller and two other co-accused – Fuller’s mother Annette Heather Allen and Tamsin Paul. Both women are charged with being accessories after the fact of murder.

Their cases were also adjourned until December 16 to keep all five matters together.

May 2017:

Allen, 58, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact of armed robbery in relation to a raid on a Young service station by her son – Owen Fuller – nine days before he bludgeoned Mr Power to death with a tomahawk...

All people charged over 33-year-old Mr Power’s death on August 29, 2013, have now had decisions in their cases.

Fuller, 21, last year was jailed for 17 years for the murder and other crimes, while co-plotter Nathan John Blundell was jailed for seven years for being an accessory before the fact of murder.

Fuller’s brother, Thomas Charles McGill, and Tamsin Marie Paul last month pleaded guilty to concealment and hindering charges relating to the murder and the armed robbery respectively.
