Not sure if this is relevant to Scientology as such, or whether it's a straight forward murder.

A boy aged 16 has been arrested after a member of the Church of Scientology was stabbed to death and another man injured outside its Australian headquarters in Sydney on Thursday, police have confirmed.

The youth was being escorted off the premises by the two victims when he allegedly drew a kitchen knife and attacked them, stabbing one in the neck and slashing at the other man, CNN affiliate Seven News cited police as saying.

It said police believe the teenager had been asked to leave the center due to a domestic incident on Wednesday. Both injured men were taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital but one of them, aged in his 20s, died there. The boy was detained at the scene, New South Wales police said in a report.

Inspector Jones said both the men were employees of the church and they were trying to establish why the teen was asked to leave.

“He had a lawful reason to be here originally and they’ve asked him to leave for various reasons, which we still need to get to the bottom of and speak to staff here on premises,” he said.

Inspector Jones said the domestic incident yesterday did not relate to the church.

“However resulting from that incident yesterday the staff on premises made a decision he should leave,” he said.

He said a member of the teen’s family had been at the church today.

The Daily Telegraph reported the family member was the teenage boy’s mother, who he was trying to see.

I bet the stabbing does have something to do with Scientology.

The 16 yr old was there to try and see his mother. He had some kind of confrontation with her the day before, and then was thrown out by the 2 security guards the next day.

Scientology breaks families apart. I think this teen might have blamed scientology for 'taking' his mum from him. JMO

Another staff member, who also sustained injuries to his hands, was released from hospital today.

The men were allegedly stabbed while trying to escort the young man from the premises. The incident is believed to be related to a family dispute.

But for an organisation shrouded in secrecy it's attracted unwanted scrutiny.

Former Scientologist Paul Schofield said the church would be in "total damage control" as Taiwanese members attract a significant amount of money to the religion.

"It will be all about how they can spin this so that Scientology comes out, maybe not smelling like roses, but with the least amount of stink attached to it," Mr Schofield told 9News.

A teenage boy has been charged with murder after a Church of Scientology member was stabbed to death at the organisation’s Australasian headquarters on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

The 16-year-old Chinese national, who is the son of a Scientologist, has now been charged with murder, common assault (DV), common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

It is now understood the boy — who is not a member of the church himself — wanted to stop his Scientologist mother undergoing a a controversial and intense “purification” process that claims to rid the body of drugs and toxins to reach a spiritual high.

A source told the Daily Telegraph the boy begged his mother not to undergo the introductory Purification Rundown cleanse in an argument the night before.

I’ve just seen on channel 7 news that Scientology has issued a letter blaming A & E network for this murder because the boy had accessed an anti-Scientology website that had a link to the show. They have demanded that it be pulled off air.
Rinder was interviewed.
It hasn’t been posted on fb by channel 7 yet but I’ll keep looking for a link.

They are being blamed because they are telling the awful TRUTH about the cult of Scientology. And actually, they are just interviewing ex-Scientologists. There is nothing illegal about allowing people to voluntarily express their personal feelings about the 'church' they were enmeshed with for their whole lives.
