Cops say Lucero’s mother once dated Madrid, who lived with the family but was recently kicked out. He reportedly touched Lucero inappropriately, prompting the breakup.

Cops said Madrid has a long criminal history. He was identified as a suspect early on, cops said, and arrested and held on an unrelated charge. Cops finally collared Madrid on the murder charge Tuesday.

If this is the current mug shot, his face looks like she fought him. He can not claim she consented the scratches prove it.

What a sick bas*ard! :banghead:

The linked video / story have been updated:

Charges have been updated to include "new charges of murder, kidnapping and child molestation."

He allegedly wrapped Lucero's body in a blanket, put it in a container, and tossed in a dumpster. Police say he sexually assaulted her, and used to date Lucero's mother and lived with the family for a brief time.

He has so many cases in Maricopa County, but then again, I've seen more over the years for a person...

He certainly had a pattern towards anger & violence etc...

You will need to put in whatever code appears then his name. CR#s means criminal cases though.

Mesa police found the body of a 14-year-old girl in a dumpster Friday morning wrapped in a container that included a gray rug from a trunk, according to court documents released Wednesday morning.

The document generally follows with details of the slaying of Claudia Ann Lucero released Tuesday by Mesa Police Chief Frank Milstead while he announced the arrest of a suspect, Alex Anthony Madrid, 31, at a packed press conference attended by most Valley media outlets.

But the document reveals a few more details that were not previously released about the case, in which police say the victim did nothing wrong and had been inappropriately touched by the defendant.

“The victim was wrapped inside a blanket which was secured with items that covered her head,’’ according to the document, written by Mesa police homicide detectives. “There was a gray colored trunk rug, books, clothing which appeared to be consistent with what a teenager would wear, and personal identification for the victim located in the dumpster.’’

The court document also reveals more about how Claudia described to her friends and her mother how she had been molested by Madrid sometime before the slaying, but it provides no time frame for the incidents.

“Further investigation found the victim confided in friends that she was fearful of the defendant and the defendant had inappropriately touched her and had forcibly made her touch his genitals on prior occasions,’’ the document said.

The document also describes information previously released by police about how Madrid’s DNA matched evidence recovered by police from Claudia’s body. Madrid was accused of first-degree murder, kidnapping, sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child, child abuse, sexual abuse, abandonment or concealment of a dead body, and tampering with physical evidence.

Milstead praised Claudia’s mother Tuesday for helping police narrow down the list of potential suspects. He described Madrid as the mother’s estranged boyfriend and said she had forced him to move out of their central Mesa apartment after she learned about the molestation from her daughter.

The document also said that when police searched Madrid’s vehicle, they found a gray trunk that matched the color of the truck rug used to wrap Claudia’s body, and that the rug was missing from the trunk. Police also found several pieces of clothing similar to those found inside the dumpster.

“The victim’s mother confirmed she last saw a red book with yellow dots, which matches the book in the dumpster, in the defendant’s trunk prior to this incident,’’ the court document said.

Maricopa County Superior Court records list a long history of increasing violent arrests involving Madrid, including a domestic-violence arrest in 2007. An ex-girlfriend obtained an order of protection against Madrid, saying that she had been “assaulted, beaten and sexually abused by the defendant’’ and that “I fear for my family’s life and my life.”

A presentence report prepared by an adult probation officer said Madrid had 11 felony convictions on a wide range of crimes, including car theft, burglary and assault. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison in November 2012 for felony domestic violence and aggravated harassment after he was released from prison on other charges on March 7, 2012, and sent the victim 296 text messages — some were romantic and others threatened violence — in little more than a week, the report said.

The report said Madrid had continuously victimized the Gilbert woman, even after he was sentenced to prison in 2009 for three different felonies in which the woman or her family members were targeted.

“Standard case assessment indicates the defendant is a high risk to reoffend and his drug abuse, criminal behavior and mental health substantially contribute to that risk,” the presentence report said.

Police offered no additional insight on where or when Claudia’s murder took place in the document. It says she was slain sometime between 6:30 a.m Thursday, when her family saw her getting ready for school, and 12:26 a.m on Friday, when Claudia’s body was found by dumpster divers who alerted police.

Madrid refused to speak with police after he resisted arrest. Police said he was taken into custody late Friday night on an unrelated probation violation charge.

The court document also reveals that police traced Madrid’s cell phone as part of their investigation. “Phone records show the defendant’s phone signal registered on 12-5-13 at approximately 0800 hours on a cell tower located within the vicinity of where the victim was located in the dumpster,’’ the document said.

So he was kicked out of the house, but was the molestation reported? If not, why not?

Looks like trial is set for April 27 th ..................

Why didn't mom report the molestation instead of just kicking him out. Obviously kicking him out was an excellent move, but she needed to go one step further. It may have saved the girl's life. Not blaming mom - the boyfriend is 100% responsible. But hopefully somebody can learn from this if they're ever in this situation. Our children are completely dependent upon us to protect them.
