'Blind' man caught driving van

A man registered blind for nearly 20 years has been arrested after police caught him driving a van with his white stick by his side.

The 59-year-old, from Bari in Italy, now faces fraud charges after it was revealed he had been claiming disability benefits from the state since 1986.

He was caught out when his employees at a garden centre where he worked as a blind assistant saw video footage of him getting into a small van and driving away on CCTV.

i hear this old excuse all the time..."but officer, i am blind, didn't see the light/road/pedestrian/your blue lights/the SWAT team hovering from the helicopter/BUT I DO SEE THAT BIG GUN!! DAMN, IT'S A MIRACLE!!!
