Brandon Scott Lavergne -- Post Conviction

This guy has got to be a delusional sociopath. He actually seems to believe that it wasn't all his fault why they ended up dead. No remorse at all.

BSL was in jail from February 2000 until August 9, 2008 for a 1999 oral sexual battery charge. You can view his criminal history here: http://www.katc.com/news/brandon-lavergne-s-legal-criminal-timeline/#_

"02/11/2000: Lavergne booked into jail in Evangeline Parish on an aggravated oral sexual battery charge where he would serve eight years.....08/09/2008: Lavergne is released from the Evangeline Parish jail on the aggravated oral sexual battery charge."

I agree with you, though. Between when he got out of jail in 2008 and kidnapped Mickey in 2012, I have a hard time believing he didn't attack any women. Apparently he traveled around quite a bit. I wonder if there are other cases around the country that he's responsible for. Since he was driving around calling escort services the night he took Mickey, I also wonder if there aren't some escorts out there that he killed who just haven't been reported missing because of their "lifestyle." It seems as though none of the escorts would take his calls that night....which makes me wonder if he had a history of abusing escorts and was blacklisted by the escorts in the area. I'm also not necessarily convinced Lisa was the first woman he ever killed.

I think it's highly possible that BSL is responsible for other murders besides those of Mickey and Lisa. All of the women of Acadiana and beyond have got to be thankful this monster is locked up forever.

Thinking of Mickey, Lisa, and any unknown victims of BSL...... :rose:

Remember when investigators said they found other peoples IDs and wallets in his home? I wonder about the older lady's ID they found.

If it’s IDs, they could certainly trace the people, and know if they were alive and well, though, right? So if nothing more has happened, wasn’t it a blind alley?

BSL is a human disaster and thankfully, he was captured. I suspect he's a serial killer of women, with more victims. Back in the day, several of us spent many hours investigating other possible victims, but nothing solid ever fit. For me, it was shocking to become aware of the high number of unsolved female murders in Louisiana. Something is definitely "off" with this dude! I am grateful our paths never crossed; his bio mom lived near me in TX. Poor Mickey & Lisa during their last moments of life.

On Oct. 3, the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled the supervisory writ filed by Lavergne would be denied. All justices voted in favor of denying the writ, with the exception of Justice Genovese who recused.
