If she is in fact saying those things abt his parenting, I wonder if her children are aware of it?
The reason I ask is because a few of her children are old enough to read the tabloids, or papers on the street. I wish she would refrain from the bashing of him, for their sake.
She must be really pissed!!

She's not just demonizing him in front of his kids, she's demonizing in front of his kids in front of the entire world. She knows how much attention this is going to draw into it. She could have kept her mouth shut and just said "irreconcileable differences" but she went ahead and said she's doing it for the health of the family and trashed him as a father. This is going to blow up in her face badly if it's not true. Judges do not like attempts at parental alienation.

I don't think she's going to stop. She's been humiliated and she wants revenge. Remember how she humiliated his first wife when she lured him into leaving her? I have a feeling he and his kids have been living a pretty miserable life for several years now.

I've been reading some pretty disturbing rumors about her behavior lately. I won't repeat them here, but if true, it's chillling. She's always had problems with depression and self-destructive behavior.
 
I really think that they only thing that would warrant this sudden turn of attitude is that he derided her in front of her children or was angry or aggressive towards Maddox. The divorce itself doesn't make any sense. They were together for 10 years before they got married and made a big point about how marriage itself not changing anything and it just being a piece of paper. If they wanted to separate they could certainly just "go back to the way things were." Why the need to make it so dramatic?

When someone has addiction issues the worst thing to do is to hide and cover them up. That simply enables them and causes shame in the family which leads to all kinds of dysfunction in people's lives, maybe forever.

Who knows what the truth is.Perhaps she is trying to save him by not covering for him.

Los Angeles — Marion Cotillard is announcing her pregnancy and shooting down rumors of any romantic involvement with Brad Pitt.

“This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote in a statement posted Wednesday on Instagram.

The star of such films as “The Artist” and “Rust and Bone” said that she is “not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.”

Cotillard affirmed her longtime relationship with actor Guillaume Canet. The couple are parents to a 5-year-old son. She said in her Instagram post alongside a photo of bird soaring through the sky that he is “the only one that I need” and they are expecting another child...

Ahhh, the TMZ article makes sense. I suspected as much. I can see her flipping out if he lost his cool and was drunk while on the private jet. She'd have been essentially trapped in the situation with her kids. And if he was yelling and angry in such a dangerous situation as flying, I can see it angering her to the point of no return.

Additionally if someone reported it, then she had no choice but to file in order to distance herself from him as much as possible. Perhaps they were both using drugs or drinking on the plane and they both got out of control and then he escalated it. If someone turned them in, CPS is going to investigate the both of them, so she has to play it as if he was the only one who was out of control in order to save face.

Can you imagine them both being accused of child abuse after they have spent all this time creating the image of perfect parents?

Yes, they do. And there have been some reports over the years about how wild and undisciplined the kids are. Pitt has been working on back to back movies over the last couple of years, so he isn't able to spend a lot of time with them. They've had disagreements for a long time about how to raise the children.
No doubt, the judge will want to talk to nannies and other staff when the time comes.

Oddly, Angelina has her brother watching the kids now. He's always been an odd duck, not sure I would want him around my kids.

The pics of the kids don't look like anything unusual. Just goofing around or making faces. The article is more disturbing.

Funny that they would allow all of those horrible foods when they are both so slim .I doubt if they eat donuts and pop.

The police do not investigate child abuse do they? I think child sex abuse they do. But other abuse is investigated by a child abuse unit in social services.
 
Angelina was not the person who contacted the authorities about Brad's behavior on the plane & the tarmac. A third party is said to have been the source of a child abuse allegation. If reports are true Brad does have substance abuse problems. It seems people are so quick to throw Angelina under the bus. Personally I don't think this was a decision that was made lightly. It is sad for the family to be in a chaotic situation.

The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the allegations after someone anonymously reported the incident last Wednesday on the tarmac.

Brad Pitt is under investigation for child abuse after he allegedly got "verbally abusive" and "physical" with one of his children with Angelina Jolie on the couple's private plane while their other kids were present.

Pitt did not return to the L.A. family home with Jolie and the children after the incident. That wasn't unusual, says the source – Pitt would often spend the night at a hotel after arguments with Jolie.

She listed the date of separation as September 15, a day after Pitt's alleged blowup.

She's probably beginning to realize she's raised them poorly and they're suffering from it. The lack of formal education is a real problem. The unsettled lifestyle, living out of hotels and rented homes, following their mother around the globe on her humanitarian missions. Seems recently they were living in Cambodia for a while.

Very unsettling for kids as they get older and need an education, especially if some are approaching teen years and still have no real education. IIRC, didn't Angelina drop out of high school? She had a lot of problems with drugs (including heroin), eating disorders, affairs with older men and attempted suicide/ cutting during her youth. Easy to see how she may not know how to parent her own children at the same age. The impression is that Brad doesn't have much say in how the kids are raised.

JMO, but I think he's been in a psychologically abusive relationship with her for several years. My son was involved in a similar relationship years ago, very verbally abusive, lots of drama and psychological manipulation from someone with BPD. He hid it from us until she injured him severely enough to require a trip to the emergency room and stitches. He got out immediately after that and it took a year or so of counseling before he could date women again. He kept thinking it was partly his fault and that there was something he could do to fix it, until she injured him. Seeing some of the same thing in Pitt's remarks and stories.
