The Regional Transportation Commission will be offering free public transportation services on RTC RIDE from Meadowood Mall to the Brianna Dension candlelight vigil Friday.
The event will be held on Friday evening at 6.30pm in South Reno on Sandhill Drive between Prototype and Double R Boulevard. (more at link)

A woman has come forward to report an additional attack near the University of Nevada campus back in October.
Campus police confirmed the report late Wednesday after the woman went to police on Tuesday. (more at link)

I bet the police will be in attendance and watching for anyone coming alone that fits the description or acts suspicious. I hope they also check out vehicles in the parking lot to see if there's a pickup truck that fits the description.

It really doesn't give too much information. They don't give a date or whether or not the woman was able to provide any description.

This must have been difficult for her to do, but I'm thankful she came forward. I hope LE gets more information from her about this rapist, if it's the same one.

I am assuming you are referring to the young woman reported as missing last night then later found.

If so, I don't know why they(LE) would have reported her missing and caused more concern.
 
This would be another attack not to be confused with the one in October in or near the parking garage.

The victim told police she was walking up 11th street listening to her iPod, when a man came up from behind her and grabbed her. She screamed, and the suspect ran away.

As far as we know, this is an erroneous statement made by Kelly of the private profiling company System to Apprehend Lethal Killers (STALK). Either he knows something that LE has never confirmed or he is talking out of his @ss to make it sound like he is the "expert". HE needs to get his facts straight before he spews them in the media. DNA has never been linked in the Oct.22nd case and LE would certainly put that information out.

Authorities say DNA has linked Denison’s killer to a sexually motivated attacks against college-age women on or near the University of Nevada, Reno campus on Oct. 22, Nov. 13 and Dec. 16.

Don't forget about the other case in AZ where the perp went into the apartment to get the woman and abducted her to rape her knowing people were also in the home. I can't recall who posted it, but I know I took all kinds of flack for suggesting they go ahead and give it as a tip to LE.

I mentioned that long ago myself. I do think the perp was in his predator mode and angry (he tried to "hit" the doorknob off to break in) when he went back to find 2nd victim gone and then saw Brianna through the open glass doors and windows. It was only his luck the doors were unlocked. Here is the thing tho...there was a bit of time between him going to the 2nd victim's house to try to break in and then getting Bri. Where was he during that time? Had his rage gotten worse? Was he out trolling? It would seem that he would have calmed down a bit during that time. Is this why he was able to get Bri out so easily with no one hearing him? He had calmed down enough to carry it off...until he had her in his control...then the rage took over? (End)

Nice thought process here. I just wanted to add a few thoughts of my own. I think the timing between the break-in attempt and Bri's abduction were most likely used staking out the house. It's very possible the perp saw the girls arriving home, or hanging out in the house before going to bed. The lights would be on, there would be activity, and with all those windows, he could easily see inside. I think it's likely he watched until the girls went to bed, gave them time to fall asleep and then made his move. If he saw the girls come home, he likely already knew the door wouldn't be locked. I also think it's possible the perp returned to the home of the other victim because he wants the media going nuts about him, he wants the public to freak out, and LE to be at a loss. I think he felt that acosting the victim AGAIN, or even killing her, (especially since he's careful to leave his DNA behind) would get him that notoriety or "fame" if you will.

That's news to me! As far as I know, the Oct 22 attack has always been treated with a grain of salt. In fact, I believe I read somewhere in the past few days that there is no DNA available from the Oct 22 attack to test.
 
I don't think he is careful to leave his DNA behind with the exception of the thong. I think in the other instances he had no intention of leaving a trace. He did have condoms in the first attack. The second attack was oral sex and he might have thought his DNA would not be found because of this. Obviously, he was wrong. The same in Brianna's case, they intimated the DNA they found was from oils from the perp's skin or something else instead of semen (I saw LE say this on one of the interviews.)
 
I also don't think the "fame" thing is entirely accurate either. He threatened his victim prior to Brianna not to go to LE. I think this has changed a bit with the thong. I also think the connection to the Oct. 22nd attack is entirely inaccurate as it being his sketch plus description and he wanted to make sure he is credited this time. If it isn't his description, he also would feel they don't have a clue (which he would be right) about who he really is and know they don't have his DNA on file to match anything. He is going to get cockier because of it.
 
The way I saw the news is that this is a NEW October attack that was just reported Tuesday, in ADDITION to the previous October attack reported some time ago.

Yes, it is another attack. The good news is that women are getting up enough nerve to come forward to tell LE. What the women might not deem to be important since no rape took place could give some information to LE that they desperately need!

I live about 9 miles south of I-80 and west of Salt Lake City and I felt nothing! In fact because my little town has a superwalmart and other places, everyone from NE Nevada converges on my town to do their Saturday shopping.
