A joint report by the Police Foundation and Dept of Justice reveals new information on the San Bernardino shootings

Three men in the conference room where the shooting happened tried and failed to rush the gunmen

The report does not say whether the three men survived

A rookie cop's interview with a survivor provided the first bit of evidence about who the shooters might be

Married couple Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 29, were tracked down thanks to their rental car records

The couple were killed in a shootout with police later that night

Farook was shot 42 times and his wife was shot five times

I think this is related to the international immigration marriage fraud scheme charges filed in spring 2016: (Here's the 12 page Indictment document)

Speaking of Enrique Marquez, is he in prison? Has he been convicted of multiple felonies yet? I hope he gets a life sentence. This is the last thing I can find about his prosecution:

Trial delayed for man accused of supplying weapons used in San Bernardino terror attack

http://www.sbsun.com/general-news/2...-weapons-used-in-san-bernardino-terror-attack

The trial for the man accused of supplying the weapons used in the deadly Dec. 2 terror attack on the Inland Regional Center has been continued until September 2017.

Marquez to plead guilty to aiding San Bernardino shooter's plots
Enrique Marquez Jr. will admit in court this week that he illegally purchased the rifles used in the deadly San Bernardino terrorist siege for friend Syed Rizwan Farook and that he helped Farook form plans for attacks on the 91 Freeway and Riverside City College that were later scuttled, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Marquez, a 25-year-old Riverside resident, has agreed to a deal that could imprison him for the statutory maximum sentence of 25 years to life in federal prison and a $500,000 fine, a news release said.

In exchange for agreeing to plead guilty to one count each of providing material support to terrorists and making false statements in the acquisition of firearms, the U.S. Attorney’s Office agreed to drop related charges of marriage fraud, immigration visa fraud and lying on a federal document.

In an unusual move, Gregory Clayborn, whose daughter, Sierra, was among the 14 people killed at the Inland Regional Center on Dec. 2, 2015, was allowed to address the court.

“Why isn’t he charged with murder? I can’t understand it. He is getting a slap on the wrist. It’s not right. Your honor, this is ridiculous. He should get life without parole. This just isn’t right,” Clayborn told U.S. District Judge Jesus Bernal.

He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 21

Facebook, Twitter, Google sued over San Bernardino attack

The lawsuit mirrors claims targeting social media providers in courts around the country for deaths in attacks abroad and at home. The same lawyers have sued the same companies for the 2016 massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Some of those lawsuits have been dismissed because federal law shields online providers from responsibility for content posted by users.

Facebook said it sympathizes with the victims and their families and that it quickly removes content by terrorist groups when it's reported.

"There is no place on Facebook for groups that engage in terrorist activity or for content that expresses support for such activity," the company said in a statement.

The suit filed by relatives of Sierra Clayborn, Tin Nguyen, and Nicholas Thalasinos seeks unspecified monetary damages.

December 2

Fourteen staffers at a public health department in California were gunned down by their co-worker and his wife on December 2, 2015.

Tashfeen Malik and Syed Farook had become radicalised online before the mass shooting in the city of San Bernardino.
