Circumstances of Disappearance:
Boughton was last seen in Vacaville, California on May 4, 1975. He has never been seen or heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, Boughton was driving an orange 1971 Datsun 110. He was reported missing on May 15, 1979. The reporting party believes that he went to Lake Berryessa after his wife moved away, although no additional clothing was taken from his apartment.

Boughton was in the Air Force and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California at the time. He may possibly have relatives in Pennsylvania and New York. Few details are available regarding his disappearance and his whereabouts remain unknown.

This appears to be his parents's graves. On Ancestry, there's a record of him in the U.S., Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850-2010 but with a death date of 6 May, 1975, two days after he was last seen. This leads me to believe he was declared dead, since he also shows up dead on the Social Security records.
