Decedent was "found down in an alley" on 1/8/1988 with head trauma and went to a hospital in Inglewood,CA at at that time. Has been in and out of hospitals and convalescent homes since. Unable to establish ID.

Anyone good at finding news stories about this woman? There must have been better estimates of her age or some photos taken of her? She lived for 23 years without a name. Now is as good a time as any to try and give it back to her.

On 2/26/1988 the decedent was admitted to L.A.County hospital where adm dx of head trauma. Has been in and out of hospitals & convalescent homes. Found in bed at the conv. home on 10/12/2011. Apparenlty she was never able to ID herself to the staff and has remained a Jane Doe ever since the original hospital admission.

Almeta seems like a good match given that her descriptors (except hair), missing date, and location all seem fairly close. Her NamUs profile was entered recently (1/2018) so I wonder if LA investigators compared these two cases. You'd think they did but, ya know...

2" height difference could be due to age or measurement errors. Did our UID have moles on her face? Surely they took pics of this lady. I wish they'd release one or at least a sketch.
